I also didn't think the movie was that bad, but certainly not without it's problems
You think that's bad? Alan (Golden Age GL) is weak against wood. Eventually in the Geoff Johns run, they figure out how to overcome Yellow as sort of fear induced thing. Kyle I don't think ever had that problem because he was the last GL after Hal went insane and killed everybodyI don't know much about GL, just people going "he can lose to yellow things" and someone would inevitably talk about being him with a banana.
The video is "Shangrila" by Billy Idol off of his album "Cyberpunk"
There's a scene in 90's JSA where a plant-like villain fatally wounds Alan by impaling his chest with vines, making him unable to heal :PWood? Wow.
"Green Lantern impaled by toothpicks"
"Green Lantern sits on bench, dies"
"Green Lantern beaten to death in a medieval dildo exhibit in the netherlands"
I kind of wonder what would have happened to the series if Emerald Twilight hadn't happened. We wouldn't have had Kyle as a GL and certainly not John's revival of Halhonestly green lantern will always have a special place to me for being one of the few comic book superheroes to actual rebel and crash out against the whole "you must be miserable" status quo and actually WIN.
....even if it meant he had to become a tyrannical supervillain for a few years lmao
