Hey, duplicate hunters! Don't merge this with the recent thread about Gravity Circuit 2!

This game is an incredible love letter to not only Megaman, but the platforming genre as a whole. I was stoked from start to finish.

In terms of gameplay, it's more-so inspired by the Megaman Zero games, since you don't have a buster here and your main form of dealing damage is melee.

I think the grappling hook sections were perfectly executed. There were neither too many or too few of them throughout each stage, and the physics were easy to comprehend.

The bosses were some of the best videogame fights I've had in a hot minute!

And the music? BOY!!!!! It's amazing!!

All in all, 10/10 game for me.

Going to make time to play it this weekend. Excited to get into it!

I was surprised to find out that this game was made with Löve2D, of all things.

So was Balatro apparently. Interesting! Now I'll be compelled to play around with that engine over the weekend too. I just want a simple 2D engine that would let me make some prototypes of ideas in my head. But I usually get burnt out early on during the learning phase because I start guilt tripping myself "Why am I spending my weekend learning this when, if anything, I should be spending time learning something in my current skill set related to my job?"
And the internal conflict always concludes with an agreement to not learning anything and instead play a game lol

This one has been on my list since it came out but trailer for the second game made me consider playing it sooner. It looks hype and platformer fighters are always good.

There is more to life than jobs and employment. Your job should be your second priority always. Just do the bare minimum to get paid and enjoy life through other things. Or maybe try Gamemaker Engine.

First I hear of this game, it looks pretty cool! I saw some footage online, particularly of the stage that uses that one mechanic from quickman's stage in megaman 2. The one with those beams that instakill you. Except, in Gravity Circuit... those don't kill you. I felt a bit disappointed seeing that; is there a setting in that game to turn on all the nes-era-styled unfair instakills?

Nabbed it in its Steam Giveaway, game's great but a warning, it will not hold your hand, you will need to learn to dodge and manage your Special bar, also your hook is not only for platforming, you can take shields from enemies too!

It's a semi-buster, I'd say. Can't be charged and has limited reach, but can deal strategic damage if you time your moves correctly (you can also use an upgrade to make it drag you towards the enemies that you hit with it).

I'm not sure whether that exists, but there is a hard mode and a new game+ with remixed levels and enemies. I haven't tested the hard mode, so I'm unsure if it has that.

I just got every armor in the game!! I'm thinking of going for 100%.

Allright you convince me i'll install gravity circuits rn and start playing after i finished Minish Cap
