2. I bet the game will have watered down humour in comparison to the previous installments. IIRC they will also not release it after the have already released it for the consoles first. So with all that in mind I might NOT buy it even if it comes out. The gaming community needs to remember from previous pre-orders

... I'm not paying eight tens for a glorified Steam Key. I don't like it when Nintendo does it and Rockstar, despite their name, aren't enough of a god in my eyes to get a pass, either.

My little Asus A15 gaming toaster still kicks ass after 6 years and a small upgrade prior to the RAMageddon. Obviously it struggles with PS3 emulation and Xemu and it probably won't run future titles like GTA 6 but there's at least 20+ year old worth of gaming to choose from. You guys won't miss out if you wait until it goes on sale and after a bunch of drama has died out and THEN making the final decision of buying it. You DON'T owe them anything especially, again, they laid off people, and like @Samantha pointed out, it's a glorified steam key essentially. I'm glad y'all have come to the same conclusion.

Like expected, GTA 6 pushing new standards in predatory monetization. And it will most likely be sanitized as well.

On the one hand, I can see them trying to justify getting one over the other like that.

On the other, the SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN is NOT where you pull that shit — would you have a modified game map, then? Clearly developed locations that are inaccessible for those of us on a "standard" plan? Immersion and escapism are a big part of why people play sandboxes, so seeing all of that would crash hard with both expectations and reality.

They should have done... GTA things and given you exclusive vehicles or something instead — that would have been a much easier pill to swallow AND would have also saved you the trouble of missing out on chunks of a highly anticipated game.

Shit like that makes my head spin.
