So is this version recommended for a first play-trough? Or more of a Competitive only thing.
Definitely recommend for a first playthrough as you can experience more of the game before the New Game+ content. A lot more characters are viable now and the new Borg Switching mechanic helps a ton.

I thought Gundam Versus came out first and then they made this game with that engine.
It did. Gundam Federation Vs Zeon was in 2001 and Gotcha Force 2003. I remember the game being pretty fun if not repetitive. But getting new borgs to try kept m going. Wouldve loved to play the story in multiplayer back in the day lol.

I've played this game before, specifically a year ago, but doesn't this basically make some types of Borg less useful? Like the slow Dragon types.
Small dragons, worms and Phoenix/Wing Dragon specifically since they can't do air recovery. However their costs or moves have been buffed to compensate and also the getup change improves their offense.

When getting up from a knockdown, damage scaling will reset along with combo scaling, making the game faster since you won't have to wait 60 frames before hitting the opponent again, had they been knocked to the ground before.

What does that mean exactly? Like, just the combo counter thing? Or does this make the the gameplay different in someway?

Rented the game then ended up buying the game and now it seems complete box is worth a small mint sheesh.

Not sure where my original save is but I unlocked everything so returning without it would be a slog, hope this helps.

Guess I gotta try the gundam games now.
Always wished Capcom would bring this back.
Imagine it with Megaman characters tossed in heh.

All that I know about this game is that in its English dub all the child characters sound like middle-aged men.

Always wanted to play this game but would you guys recommend the unmodded version first or is this hack better for a first playthrough?
I recommend this mod for first time players as well, mostly because you can explore more of the game's qualities in a single playthrough, because of the changes to the character obtain system.

Welp heres another one I've never heard of

Its basically one of the earliest version of what now is the Gundam Versus series which is another rabbit hole of games that still exist today with gundam extreme Vs 2 Infinite boost

Upon first glance, this game looks like a remaster of the original Custom Robo (N64). I've never heard of this, so thanks for sharing.
