I'll die on the hill that the Dead or Alive games are legitimately good fighting games.

First DOA6, then Tekken 8. Is every 3D fighter just shooting themselves in the foot over and over again? Not looking forward to VF6 if so, lol.

Yeah. Despite being a DOA defender, even I'll admit 6 had a ton of baggage, and Tekken 8 is currently a mess. If anything, here's hoping VF6 can course correct this ship and give us a proper great 3D fighter.

Honestly, I'm not feeling so optimistic. DOA6 just felt like 5 but without the things that made it good.

And as for Tekken 8? I just couldn't stand that game ever since I knew it was a thing, lol. I could stay here all day listing the things I dislike about it. But then again, the last Tekken game I liked came out in 1999, so...

I only played VF3 and 4 Evolution, but I never really got into it. I did appreciate some characters guesting in DOA5, though. One of the best uses of guest characters I've ever seen, they fit super well. I hope VF6 turns out okay, even though it's gonna be super easy to turn out okay when DOA is on a shelf and Harada is just blaming the new team for the stupid shit Tekken 8 is going through.

DOA6 was a mess. Not surprised we haven't heard anything about DOA7. Probably something we'll never see, specially after itagaki departure.
