Hey Juice, would you mind adding the Render96 texture pack?
It is an essential mod IMO, as it turns the game into something similar to the cover art.

If you got a link I can add it as an alt, I already shared the render 96 version in the repo but it's not the ghostship one.

I am more interested in a free camera mod, to me THAT one is essential.
I don't think Render96 is fully compatible with this port yet. Last I was on their discord, Harbormasters plan on adding support for model replacement, but that doesn't work yet.
You can use the Render96 texture pack but it needs to be converted with Tex2Ship

There's also an Android port available here:

Made by the same dev that ported Ship of Harkinian and a few other N64 decomps to Android. Mods and texture packs all work and it seems pretty stable. Not sure if it's up to date with the PC version though.

is render96 not very incomplete on ghostship because it only supports the model pack when you also need the HD TEXTURE PACK

Oh so those are different releases. Gotcha. I totally forgot about it.

All Linux / Mac OS / Windows version 1.0.2 available on the original git : https://github.com/HarbourMasters/Ghostship/releases/tag/1.0.2

You simply launch it and follow, it need your original no-intro US ROM in the app folder to start.
After that it will de-compile your ROM and after a few second the magic will happen

Next time it will launch it directly without the de-compile phase

Don't forget to go to the option menu as there is tons of QOL option to tune the game as a modern game, like 16/9 or 21/9, 4k, 120fps, no LOD and else. Also there is many options to get rid of all the little inconveniences to make it better (like the game don't stop when you catch a star, skip peach letter / Lakitu introduction and else)

There is also a tick box to "play as on the N64 (4/3, low resolution, low original textures and else), convenient to easy switch from your hi end modern tuning to the original one whitout modifying all the options

Also, for almost all those Harbour Masters team apps, you can find hi res textures packs.
They are like an obligation and dumb easy to install as you only have one file to put in the MODS folder in the app
I recommend the HD pack most time instead of the 4k pack because there is no point to put a 5GB texture pack when it look the same as the HD one who is less than 1Gb (until the 4k pack is less than 1GB)

So after you DL and put your texture pack in the MODS folder, go to the option menu (ESC) and chose "Graphic > Use Alternate Assets"
There is the option to activate a search field in the option menu btw
You can also simply it the TAB key on your keyboard to instantly switch between the texture pack and the original textures wile you are in game

Texture pack website : https://evilgames.eu/texture-packs/sm64-reloaded.htm
Texture pack Git : https://github.com/GhostlyDark/SM64-Reloaded/releases/tag/v2.6.0

Choose either :

sm64-reloaded-v2.6.0-gs-o2r-4k.7z for 4k texture pack (gs mean GhostShip, yeah not rally easy to understand at first glance) witch is 619MB

or

sm64-reloaded-v2.6.0-gs-o2r-hd.7z (HD one, 99,6 MB)

There is also other pack for Glide 64 (N64 emulator) or Dolphin or else.
But I recommend using GhostShip! As it's the best experience possible on PC / computer, cause it's not a N64 emulator, it de-compile the original code to make it run directly on your PC, it will transforms the N64 ROM into a native PC port of the game, so it's the highest level of performance possible!

Also test the other Harbour Masters apps, they are all beautiful tools to play those classic N64 gaes as native PC port, you can also find apps for Zelda OOT, Majora'a Mask, StarFox, Mario Kart 64

Have fun

Thank you for posting this! I play on Bazzite & use Proton packs to run games, so I was unable to rip the assets from the ROM myself. Greatly appreciated ::peacemario

Coop DX does all that aswell
I see, honestly even on PS Vita this just dropped but I already had a port for three years running smoothly in widescreen 60fps and free camera and I 100%ed it but I guess more options.

I'm unfamiliar with that version but this is quite good, runs at solid 60 fps (can be increased in the settings) wide screen support, rumble and mod support.

Is this better than Coop DX or not?

Nice seeing this uploaded! Been curious about this one and how it runs.

Thanks ::biggrin

does this work with a controller at all, or is it just the KB?
Tested with a DS4 (via usb) worked perfectly with rumble support, you can remap the buttons too.
