Games you replayed a hundred times?

I know it wasn't asked, but there are a few media that I return to at least once a year.

For a long time in games it was Suikoden 1 and 2, this year though every time I turn on my console I'll start playing something then go immediately to Parasite Eve. Beaten it 3 times already and working through a 4th run.

Movies I'll watch Repo! The Generic opera at least once a month

For books I'll read the Animorphs series every year

Godhand, F-zero GX, Ocarina of time and FF7 are all games that can be replayed once a year and harbour the same amount of satisfaction and enjoyment from completing.
Also deus ex.

Metal Slug 1-3, could replay those any time for a quick fix of some great pixelated action.
Every year Skyrim manages to snatch onto my soul for at least a month or so.
Resident Evil 5 is something I've beaten more times than I'd like to admit.
And last but not least, Ace Combat Zero, I can't get enough of that game.

Games i beat at least over 10 times at this point

  1. Mega Man 2
  2. Super Mario 64
  3. Sonic the Hedgehog
  4. Sonic The Hedgehog CD
  5. Sonic The Hedgehog 2
  6. Super Mario Bros.
  7. Super Mario Bros 3.
  8. Bubsy in: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (dont ask)

Fallout: NV
Skyrim
Dragon Age: Origins
Pokemon Emerald
Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade (FE7)
Final Fantasy 9
Clocktower
Mount & Blade Warband

I have to give credit for the OG Konami trio (Contra, Gradius and Castlevania) Regarding my NES emulation

For longer games i always come back to the first Final Fantasy and Etrian Odyssey even knowing they haven't aged well compared to their sequels, not aging fine does not stop them from being great games

Of all the Zeldas i have played, i can consider Minish Cap the one most played

200+ games on my MAME and i always give a shot to Aero Fighters, Progear and most usually The Ninja Kids

I can think of a few I've played literally a hundred times or close to that:

Duck Tales 2, Chip'n Dales and Double Dragon 2 on NES. Games I've been playing since childhood.

Maybe not a hundred but at least 50 times:
Resident Evil 1/2/3 (I've played all versions of them multiple times accross multiple regions, I even bought a Game.com for that version of RE2)
Streets of Rage 1/2
Castlevania Dracula XX (SNES) and Castlevania Bloodlines, I used to attempt to do no damage runs in both but I never managed to do it, I'd always get hit at least once, usually 2 or 3 times per playthrough.

I've also played through Final Fantasy VIII a dozen times, I used to replay it every year. The crazy thing is that every replay I'd always find something new about the game, be it some story or gameplay element that are hidden. I also did a no lvl-up run way back when, long before it was cool to do so and there were walkthroughs on the subject, only using knowledge I had acquired in my previous playthroughs (in fact I made it harder on myself because I had no idea you could turn enemies into cards in battle for free APs with no EXP gain, so I mostly relied on boss fights until I got to fight Cactuar and use lvl-down on enemies to minimize the exp yield)

A single game? None. But the mainline pokemon games I've played through, including hacks or just Total War(yes all of them)

Lunar: Silver Star Story. Have played it countless times since I was about 9, am now 36.

Having the entire script and all the dialogue memorized has come in handy while playing the Remaster. It's been interesting seeing what they decided to change...
