Games You Finished in 2025

I nearly finished the main campaign of Doom 3 a couple of months ago.

By the 75/100% progress mark I gave up. The combat is just bad, the ambience is boring (I don't care if it's horror or whatever, Half Life was more entertaining than this) and overall the game just kept me waiting for the end to come.

Jesus, @Nelson2001 are you omnipresent? I just sent that post 😂

And there's the 67th.

I was surprised it doesn't took a while...except for me it did because I'm so bad at Puyo Puyo (or let's say Poyo Poyo in this case). ::omgdoom
7/10, it's still so satisfying to make chains. Unfortunately I don't have the luck nor the galaxy brain to always make it. But man, managing to do a triple one against King Dedede and beating felt so good.

EDIT: hold on, we can consider Deltarune Chapter 3 & 4 as a whole new 2025 unique game? Then ok, I guess I can add that.

68 games done in 2025.
try and get to 100 /j

Didn't realize it was a contest, now I'm glad I didn't join.. 😅

I stopped playing as many games, but I think I beat some besides Totk this year.

Just finished earlier today

Ngl: I won't lol, I was thinking to aim to 70. Maaaaaybe 75 if I'm in good spirits, but it will be mostly arcadey games in the latter case.

My current wishlist of games to beat are: Starfy 5, Castlevania Curse of Darkness, Fire Emblem Echoes, FF XIV Stormblood, Mega Man Battle Network 3. And then after many more, but these are priorities.

Highly recommended

Hard ass game with shit hit rate.
Worst SRPG gameplay with best graphics even with old graphics is good

I've played a whole bunch, too many to remember off the top of my head! But the most recent game I played was 'bird game' on steam. It's a free rpg maker game made by someone who snorted a shredded thesaurus like it was cocaine and the result is a hilarious incomprehensibly comprehensible adventure that was an absolute blessing.

Here comes the funny number of game beaten in 2025.

#69:

Whoever designed Level 11 (and the same format returns in Battlemaniacs btw 💀 ) is human trash.

Next one is definitely gonna be Ninja Gaiden 2 for NES. Yep, I'm playing all those from last NSO update.

Thank you, power of Start Button, to let me finish the accursed chasing level for this one as well. And there you go, 70 games done.

Hey, I've done several of the games earlier this year and if it's the one I think of then I agree. Turbo Tunnels is child's play next to it.

Games i remember finishing this year:
Gothic 3
Cyberpunk 77
Xcom 2
Dead Space 3
Stalker Return to the zone mod (there is 5 storylines, i finished 3)
Stalker The exception mod
dragon's dogma online
Slitterhead

I discovered only now that this was originally a game for Satella View called "Special Tee Shot". Then reworked Kirby themed.

Turbo Tunnels are still the worst hell right after those forsaken chasing ones. Rare expecting us to basically memorize the full patterns.

(I actually forgot I beat Arkham Knight for the first time this year, so yeah, that's #72)

73th.

Fuck this game. No, it doesn't have a painful chasing level like the other 2 games, but the controls are horrendous. So much hits to certain enemies that barely don't give you much space to land hits, and this right from the start.

Wow, 2 Ninja Gaidens this year (this and Ragebound).

At this point I'll wait for the last NG to be added on NSO. But I was considering the arcade. Are other Ninja Gaiden released in those years worth it? I've heard of Game Boy and I think even a Game Gear one?

For modern Ninja Gaiden I'm not sure for some versions to go. Like:

  • NG 1 Sigma should be fine, right?
  • I have og NG 2 on Xbox 360 but I've heard Black makes it much better.
  • In general I haven't heard much positive stuff about og NG 3, but Razor's Edge on Wii U is good...?
Kinda tempted to play directly NG4 ngl, that game seemed so cool and fun.

EDIT: interesting. So other original games I'm missing would be, beside obviously the last game of the NES trilogy, games respectively each for arcade, Game Boy, Game Gear and Master System.

update on tactics ogre reborn for me. im almost thru palace of the dead, that place is the worst slog in any game ive ever played, but hopefully the rest of the game is smooth sailing and i can still finish it before the end of the year

One of the best and most impressive NES games avaiable in the library. The story is nonsensical garbage with poor translation, but that's not what matters much in an otherwise high quality action game. If you want an alternative Ninja Gaiden that doesn't feel as brutal, this is for you.
