Games You Finished in 2025

Cave story was on the genesis ^^;? It was the OG PC version, the Cave Story+ version by Nicallis is too fast for me....I wonder if I'm the only one who has that problem. I feel like a total scrub lmao.
Nicalis had many issues as I heard. Especially regarding how they may or may not have stolen the license to Pixel but then again I cannot be sure.

As for homebrews I know there's also one on the DS (via linker).

I have installed one that allows more mods for my PC.

PS: If you like Pixel's style you should try Kero Blaster.

So far this year I've beaten:
Persona 3 FES (ps2)
Makai Toushi Saga (wsc)
Baten Kaitos (gcn)
Morrowind (og xbox)
Peter Jackson's King Kong (og xbox)
Champions of Norrath (ps2)
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (og xbox)

If replaying counts, I also beat Max Payne for the second time.

So far I've beaten DKC1, Fly Knight, The Citadel, Beyond Citadel, Gorky 17, and Half-Life 2
Giving an update on this. Along with these games, I have now beaten Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude, Tomb Raider Legend, DKC2, Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, Destroy All Humans, Children of Clay, FNAF: Secret of the Mimic, Turok, Art of Balance, Holy Umbrella, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, and Guacamelee STCE.

I'm finishing up GTA5. They could have cut at least 20 of these "missions" and lost nothing in essence. Very bloated game and 2/3rd of the map is wasted. I've had my fun with it but I've been ready for it to end for the past 10 hours now.

Games I finished. Ranked in order of enjoyment:

Red Dead Redemption 2 (PC)
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (DOS)
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
Fallout 3 (PS3)
Syphon Filter (PS1)
Ikachan (Windows)
Illusion of Gaia (SNES)
Terranigma (SNES)
Doom 2016 (PC)
Commander Keen Episode 1: Marooned on Mars (SNES)
Pink Heaven (Windows)
Pink Hour (Windows)

Started but unfinished. Ranked in order of enjoyment but also how close I came to finishing or how likely I am to pick them up again:

Dante's Inferno (PS3)
Banjo-Kazooie (N64)
The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver (Dreamcast)
Quake (Windows)
Dead Space (2008)
Final Fantasy Tactics (PS1)
Alice: Madness Returns (Windows)
Tomb Raider (PS1)
Discworld (PS1)
Star Ocean: The Second Story (PS1)
Shadowrun (SNES)
Final Fantasy XIII (PS3)
Cave Story+ (Windows)
L.A. Noire (Windows)
Mirror's Edge (Windows)
Red Dead Revolver (PS2)
Magic Carpet Plus (DOS)
Lemmings (Windows)
Star Ocean (SNES)
World of Goo (Windows)
God of War (PS2)
Einhander (PS1)
Grand Theft Auto 3 (Windows)
7th Saga (SNES)
Shenmue (Dreamcast)
Mario Golf (GBA)
The Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall (DOS)

Games I played a lot of that aren't really meant to be finished:

OpenTTD (Windows)
Ikaruga (Dreamcast)
Metal Slug (MAME)
Heroes of Might and Magic III (Windows)

What a great year for games. I bought a new gaming PC and went a little crazy. But it also looks terrible when I list them all like that. :loldog I do a lot of sampling.

I cannot wait until The Big Catch, Aeromachina and Lunistice 1.5's release. Technical 3D platformers are really back.

I should try AHIT someday. I hope we'll get more platformer even without being collectathons.

Also I forgot to say I've finished Severed Steel: very nice action FPS with many movement options.
Lately I've finished Nikoderiko and Amid Evil.

I think of doing Doom Eternal The Ancient Gods Part 1&2 and Amid Evil's The Black Labyrinth DLCs soon.

Oh right, games made by Pixel before Cave Story. I should try it and another that is apparently similar.

Pink Heaven (Windows)
Pink Hour (Windows)
I wish those two were included as bonuses in the Switch release of Kero Blaster...

Ikachan is great! Short and sweet. It is well worth a few hours of your time.

I wish those two were included as bonuses in the Switch release of Kero Blaster...
I played them free on Steam. They were intended as a demo for Kero Blaster and made me want to play that one. It is not expensive but I am still waiting on a Steam deal.

I played them eons ago before finally buying KB.

I'm wondering what Pixel would do but I'd be fine if he focused on drawing only rather than making games. I'll still throw money at him.

How did you manage this? I get halfway through this on my triple and the save game bug starts crashing the game every 5 minutes
I played version 1.01 on RPCS3. I didn't experience a lot of issues but there were some. I expect Bethesda games to be janky and treat it as part of the experience. There was nothing to do with saved games thankfully. I honestly enjoyed the hell out of my playthrough and had some of the most memorable experiences I've ever had with gaming, period.

Have been more busy this year and I am posting more rarely, but still played a few games since March:
12. NWN2: Storm of Zehir
13. NWN2: Mysteries of Westgate
14. The Temple of Elemental Evil
15. Cyberpunk 2077

Also replayed one of my all time favorites: Rayman 3 Hoodlum Havoc! And I also started another one of my favorites, Super Mario RPG for SNES.
Update, been playing lots of shorter games and finally finishing stuff I started back in 2024 like GTA IV.

Currently doing The Black Labyrinth but I'm getting a bit fed up from FPS...

On the other hand I've finished Mario Versus Donkey Kong (the Switch remake) before Bananza would come out.

Finished Ninja Gaiden 3 today:
