Koudelka despite being a wopping 4 discs you can finish in a day or two, it's an awesome mix of Biohazard and RPGs, and has some of the most violent things Ive seen on ps1 (an old lady shootsherself with a rifle and a girl can get her face melted off!) plus it has motion capture! Oh wow you have me very interested in getting Koudelka going soon. I remember it having a really distinct mood and liking what I played, but it's been a super long time. Sounds unhinged and ambitious - as a good rpg should be lol

I'm finishing up a playthrough of Vagrant Story. I love the atmosphere and story of this game. Probably tied with Threads of Fate for best cutscene direction on the PS1, too.
I haven't beaten Vagrant Story yet but it's on my list for games to beat this year. I've started it so many times and always get distracted. Not again! This next run will be the run lol

Finally got around to playing The Order 1886 and wow, I'm still disappointed and I didn't even pay for it! All these years I've let its somewhat cult classic status as "a cool game if you didn't pay $60" convince me that I'd enjoy the thrillride whilst appreciating its production values. Sure, I did in fact appreciate just how gorgeous it is 11 years later but I was shocked at just how lifeless the gameplay and world are outside of raw fidelity.

The story was definitely cool as many defenders seem to say and the setting is a dream come true but the story we have feels like a prologue rather than a full entry in a potential series. Having it end so abruptly and with such a bizarre amount of cliffhangers doesn't really help matters.

What a shame...

I'm about to jump to Metaphor ReFantazio, last RPG I played before that was Dragon Age The Veilguard, and I played Gunslinger Girl vol 1-3 and Until Dawn in order to avoid RPG fatigue.

Kirby and the Forgotten World beckons tho, but Metaphor first. Chores has to be done before getting reward ::agree

My gaming year hasn't started yet?. I'm just doing post game quests and grotos on DQ9 and fishing/fossil hunting on Animal Crossing GC.

Got back into the Hitman trilogy on the PS5 to complete the miscellaneous challenges that I did not do when I first played through over the last couple years.

I'm currently in a mood for playing Koei's musou games.
A few days ago i finished Dynasty Warriors 7 Empires to get all of the ending. An underrated DW Game IMO.

now i'm replaying Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends on PS3.
While they fixes some of the problem from the vanilla version(duplicate officer and frame drops),the game adds some minor gameplay change that made it less fun than the vanilla DW8.

Tekken 3

I love this game too much, i still think this is a masterpiece and much more fun than new fighting games. Once you move from just smashing buttons to learning the combos of your favorite character, it's unbelievably rewarding giving you on another level a feeling of joy.

The characters are unique and awesome but the real magic lies in the Stages as you progress, this is the Holy Grail of fighting games and ahead of time when it was released. My fav is Hwoarang the kicks are incredibly satisfying.

What are you playing or is in your list? Man i Love RetroGAMEtalk i don't know what to choose, there are a lot games i didn't had the chance to play. I am thinking on my next Thread to upload games i never played but someday i will for sure. Thanks for reading.

Dwarf Fortress was released in 2006, i think this count as a retro game?(i know what you guy are think lol)
But seriously, it's super fun, it might look intimidating and hard and it is, but you should approach with the right mindset that is: This game is made to mess around.
It's the ultimate sandbox, you can do absolutely everything you want, and this experience of doing whatever goes through you mind gives more and more knowledge about the best ways to play. It's really infinite the possibilities of what you can do. I just created a goblin that has a turkey gang and fights with stray dogs on the streets and ask random women to be his lovers. He is always out of his mind on booze and uses armor made of cat skin, it's awesome.

Fire Emblem 7. One the last chapter and it's kicking my ass like I owned a donkey that doubled as a football.

I'm also finishing the last case of Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Wanna wait til I have a quiet atmosphere to make sure I can fully pay attention to all that.

After I finish those? Mmm. Idk. Gonna try to make myself choose something

Been Replaying Bloody Roar 2 myself. Love the series.
Jenny's always been my Favorite

I've been on an indie game kick for a while now (currently on Echo Point Nova and Frogmonster, both are fantastic), but the last PS1 game I played was Racing Lagoon, a fantastic Street Racing/JRPG hybrid that got fan translated a while ago.

I'm sure plenty of people on here are aware of it (I'm sure I must have brought it up once or twice before also), but for anyone who happens not to be - I highly recommend it.
Next on the list for me is Planet Laika, as another user on here recommended it and it sounds and looks intriguing as hell. Apparently it's a surreal RPG with psychological horror elements.

Been trying to unlock more dinosaurs in Jurassic Park Warpath.
