PSO ephinea. i've barely played past the tutorial on my HUcast character, but i decided to play a RAmar instead. i ended up killing a dragon in the forest. raged quit during another mission, because my internet kept cutting out and DC'd me every 5 minutes. when i actually got to play i was having fun.

Dragon Quest 3 (SNES) and the truth is that at first I didn't like it at all, but now i see the vision of the game and developed a taste for it, i think it's a great open world J-RPG game and it saddens me a little that I'm almost at the end of the adventure.

this is my party btw :D

It’s a masterpiece in almost every area. Makes you appreciate other dqs too.

Played and finished Goldfinger 64, on original hardware.
Made my N64 overheat and crash, which prompted me to replace all the thermal pads on the CPU, GPU, and RAM. Added thermal paste as an extra bit of insurance.
Thus I was able to finish this fan-made full conversion mod in all its glorious foggy and 8-12 fps goodness.

You can see the game engine (and console) struggle with open areas. It excelles in in-door levels and small spaces. Would be a non issue if you emulated it on a PC though.

Lotus II RECS

Been poking around on Kega for stuff to add to my Everdrive favorites list, when I stumbled across Top Gear 2 and Lotus II RECS, which I somehow had never played, but heard about. A lot of reviews were kind of on the money when they said that they're basically Outrun clones, but they have a lot of charm to them. Lotus II is probably the most interesting because you can create and randomly generate your own race courses which even to this day is kind of mind blowing, very much adding to the replay value

I played some Death Road to Canada today! I am waiting for the release of Space Dingus from the same creator, and I'm doing a second 100% of the game with all the new content I have not seen. I've been having a blast attempting and seeing all the new difficulties, events, and perks that were not there since last I played. :D

Nightmare of Druaga, I do really like it despite some of it's repetitiveness. The weapon combination thing freaks me out a small bit. I don't want to kill off a decent weapon early game during the combinations. The ability transfer is also a factor in the weapons and armour combinations, so you could really bollix it up early game if you get it wrong. I do like the system they have set up but there are so many variables and with these types of games, it may become pretty unforgiving later, but that's the challenge. Decent game from the looks of it.

I finally got Hollow Knight from GoG! They had it discounted for Silksong, and since I never actually played it I figured it was time.

Everyone was right: it's really great, and I love it. It doesn't do anything revolutionary for the genre, but it does so many little, important things right. Stoked to have another good metroidvania to pick at.

What did you play today?

What video games did you play today? Did you have a good/bad time? Beat any tough bosses or discovered any new secrets? Did you start a whole new save in an exciting new game, or maybe you finished a game for the first/twentieth time?

Shenmue on the DC. I got fired from my forklift job 4 days before Christmas. This game was way ahead of it's time.

I'm trying to finish Black Myth Wukong so I can move onto one of the King's Field (undecided which one, happy to be swayed)

Played Demon's Souls on RPCS3 today after spending way too long getting it to work. Love it to bits still.

I started playing King's Field 4 for the PS2 yesterday and I got completely hooked after figuring out a control scheme that worked.
Atmosphere is top notch.

Been playing the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games back to back, and I just finished a run on MUA2's legendary difficulty. Nobody talks about 2, but it's a game I still get a kick out of.

I wrapped up my most recent playthrough of Doom Eternal earlier today. Considering Doom 3 next since the spooky season is right around the corner, but for now I'm replaying DMC5 for the umpteenth time.

I finally started playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and I am in love. This game looks absolutely gorgeous, especially with CRT filters.

I also played a bit of Pokemon Puzzle Challenge because apparently I've just decided to commit myself to playing every single Panel de Pon game out there.
