I beat Maliketh in Elden Ring. He was as far as I got on my first playthrough so it feels particularly satisfying settling the score three years later. Tough son of a bitch though, I think it took me two and a half hours at least.

I've been chipping away at a playthrough of Fire Emblem New Mystery of the Emblem, currently at Chapter 14. I'm also planning on trying out the Ninja Gaiden Ragebound demo later today.

Playing Dota 1, mostly because i have many years since the last time i played and i wanted to do a retrospective/analisis in that regard.
I dislike online games, but i think this is the only exception i enjoy a little. People are really toxic there sometimes, but i have fun regardless.

Also i'm Jigglyhappy that i'm playing Another Code Recollection, i fell in love for the original and this one is a cutest jewel.

Getting through Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time on the Switch, with the leveling up and item gathering cycle back and forth.

Still haven't figured out my favourite outfit choice yet, but I'll get there.

Dusted off my Wii U. Gonna knock out some games I've had on my backlog for ages, starting with Kirby and the Rainbow Curse.

After seeing Misfortune: A Story of Suspicious Friendships (Yaku: Yuujou Dangi)
got translated I downloaded it immediately and played a bit of it.

Played through 2 rounds before deciding to take a break (which is currently now). I love the game play loop, I adore when stories change character povs, so it’s even better when I get to swap between them myself.

It’s rather janky, which can be deduced by just looking at the cover. I really don’t mind jank, I actually seek it out. But here are my complaints-

The music, there’s not very many tracks, their short, worst part is that they cut off and restart in between shots.

There is also the long repeated cut sense(most just walk cycles), but you can kinda skip them by clicking start but it takes a good second for it to continue on with the text. Plus no text skip, which is a bit tedious for a game where you’re ment to keep replaying through the same parts - it isn’t that big a problem though, since each play through is rather short.

Unlike other games where these things would probably drive me slightly crazy, I think these add to it. Since it’s so short, and everything about this game is absurd it’s extremely (at least for me) easy to look past these problems, instead actually deprive some enjoyment from them.

Played more Mother 3, just got to the third chapter. The way Fassad treats the poor monky makes me viscerally uncomfortable. First time I played was on a clunky phone emulator in junior year of high school, 2012. I was like 75% finished and really loving it but lost my save data when getting a new phone, so this has been a long time coming. I love the timed hits you can eke out by tapping to the beat. I've had my fair share of full 16-hit combos too. Look out, this white boi's got rhythm! I prefer Earthbound's soundtrack but comparing them is like comparing my favorite Bowie albums. They're all great.

gearing up for hard mode in final fantasy vii rebirth

i like this photo i took of the game, it has a very adventurous feeling to it
i modded my game to include some of the character outfits found in the game ever crisis

Almost done with Chibi Robo: Park Patrol. It's pretty repetitive and nowhere near as good as the first (or third) game but strangely addicting, and still novel enough to see through to the end.

I've been playing this game I just discovered the other day, called Palia.
It seems to be one of those "cozy" life-sim games where you can build and furnish a house, date NPCs (who all happen to be purple elves) and farm/craft/hunt etc. I liked the aesthetic (I'm kind of a sucker for that bright, stylized Unreal Engine summertime fantasy vibe) and it's been pretty enjoyable so far, though I've only played a few hours.

Gacha slop, Type-Moon edition...

I'm planning on downloading Xenosaga tho. Gotta celebrate my birthday somehow. Might as well start a series I missed out on.

I started a fresh playthrough of Abiotic Factor a while ago. Haven't been into these "early access survival crafting" games at all in a while but this is a different enough take on the genre to stand out from the rest in my opinion. It has a bit more linear goal and a well crafted set of levels with story told mostly by computer logs and some npc dialogue sprinkled about. It didn't really click with me on the first time I tried it but managed to grab me in this time. I'm also a big half-life fan which clearly inspired this setting a lot.
It is up for full release in a month or so if anyone wants to check it out.

I started playing Squeakross, which is Picross but you get to make a little mouse dude and completing puzzles unlocks furniture you can use to decorate your house Animal Crossing-style. The soundtracks has a loungey easy listening kind of vibe. Reminds me of Jeff Martin's work on the Sims. It's basically my dream game lol
