It's a pretty cool early-era PS2 game, where you play a guy trying to stop his own murder. Involves a lot of time jumping in and around the same town, sometimes centuries in the past, sometimes just a few minutes. A little janky and pretty linear, but all these years later, I really haven't played anything else quite like it![]()
Beat this on pc, re-bought on psp for collection. Thanks for making me remember about this title!I vote this one:

Agree to disagree on Final Fantasy XIII-2. That system really tanked my enjoyment of the game! I needed a guide, and even then I got lost trying to navigate and figure out when I was meant to go next. Some locations have like 4-5 different versions based on the time you go thereThis just popped into my head. What are games that utilize time travel in interesting ways? I'll start

I do hear some people talk about Oracle of Ages, but I hear way more people talk about Ocarina, Majora's Mask & Link to the Past/Link Between Worlds when they talk about Zelda games. So you're probably right that Oracle is underratedMight be a long shot, but Zelda Oracle of Ages is dangerously underrated. For sure my favorite Zelda game.
I played Blinx not too long ago! I wanna check out the sequel, but it isn't backwards compatible for some reason.the Prince of persia games that use time travel, sands of time is great fun.
lost crown has some very interesting use of rewind and such, using clones of yourself for example.
blinx the time sweeper, old xbox game, it was so weird back then being able to rewind a game literally, it's a strange game but fun for a bit.
this is a long stretch, but in dragon quest 11 S (and only on S version) you can sorta time travel via chapter select, this respawns EVERYTHING, all loot, chests, sparkly items, bosses.
yes this means you can just repeat a chapter over and over infinitely to rack up free stuff.
you can also swap form 2d mode to 3d mode, it's really quite different in both modes ,not just graphics, combat changes to match older games (like SNES games) the world map might well be a different world, dungeons are re-designed entirely in some cases.
so for example like I did, played teh entire game in 2D mode (it's harder in 2D btw) and redid it all in 3d
btw the game story in itself also rewinds post-game, to change a significant amount of story events
also in S version you visit old dragon quest areas (like 2-3 maps per game, DQ1 through 10, you can battle the final boss of all 10 games in post game also) and theres a challenge to beat all 11 final bosses in a row with no breaks, and ANOTHER post game boss after doing that, you kill the final boss before he does literally ANYTHING, but another more evil dude shows up which also makes all enemies and bosses stronger in the lv50+ range
it's a game with stupid amounts of replay value
