What i mean is games which have different difficulties you can pick for different aspects of the game.

Some examples that i have, are the Silent Hill games having a general difficulty for the game, and a different difficulty for the puzzles.

The other one that comes to mind, is System Shock, which has 4 difficulties, Combat (self-explanatory), Mission (which determines how much help you get, and even a timer at max), Cyber (which is for combat in cyberspace) and Puzzle (which is self-explanatory).

I understand how much of a hurdle it is, but i do wish more games had features like that, do you know of any others?

Certain versions of Blood have a "Made to Order" difficulty where you can set enemy damage, enemy health, enemy count, and enemy AI all separately

I believe Pathologic 2 might be a good example. The difficulty changes are very multifaceted, and highly customizable (should you wish to be so). Though it isn't recommended for a first playthrough, obviously.

Would customization in driving games count under this? It's all the act of driving, but some games have option stuff like brake assist, a driving line to follow, things like that.

Whatever that's creative, and allows to customize and fine tune the experience is fine.

I remembered another example, in Project Zomboid you can customize so many things, including the type of zombies, how the infection works, and even how quick society collapses.

CDDA and Dwarf Fortress, have some much stuff for you to mess around with as well.

IIRC Sony's Spider-Man has the difficulty tied to the combat, and you could make the puzzle easier by having them done automagically.

Several sports games have this. Also I recall the Danganronpa VNs having separate difficulties for class trials and logic puzzles.

I can't think of many examples, Silent Hill is the first place my mind went, but I always thought this was a cool way to adjust the challenge of games and would like to see it more.

Spark the Electric Jester I think?
