Games u wish where never created

Things have it's own charms, at very least i wish WoW had never gone past WoTL

Probably any crappy game funded by taxpaying citizens like Dustborn. I don't care what a developer/publisher blows their money on, but if they're wasting taxpayer dollars on something, they should make sure they're making something that has a chance at success.

Valis X. It's a dark blight that forever marred the series.

Fallout 3: Took the series and basically stripped down the humor and dumbed down the systems.
I think it adapted the systems to a new genre pretty well, some of the quests are quite funny. Starting as a baby, VATS and some of the NPCS create a lot of funny moments. Radio stations were a fantastic addition too, up until then it was basically only GTA that did this.

I understand dumbed down (it's a modern fps rpg with quest markers), but why do you think it lacks humour?

Most Remakes or Demakes how I like to call them like Oblivion Demaster and Demon Souls butchered edition.
Also Sims4 and Fallout 4 bad games in my opinion.
All gacha games (I see the Story and Characters and just think Wasted potential they would have been better in a real game)
Most Modern Games Cashgrab Censorship and DLC hell.
Minecraft Bedrock edition buggy mess the Legacy edition was better and more stable.

Because the writing team for the original two were different than 3 and 4, if you want an idea of the writing compared to 3, look at new vegas. The original writers worked on it.

any of those 5 billion pornographic ""action"" games on Steam where its just some anime knight chick getting sexually violated by grotesque horrors beyond human comprehension for 5 hours
5 hours? They make ones that last that long?

Other than Avellone, this really isn't the case. It does sound like he did the heavy lifting on the DLCs for FNV, though. Sawyer himself kind of outlines who did what in this post:

More of a team effort by people who had no prior series history aside from Avellone with 2 and the Fallout Bible, and then Sawyer was on Van Buren but that was unfinished. I always took the writing differences as a way of reflecting the region each game was set in, but that's me.

Oh, and back to the topic question: I wouldn't wish any game were never created. I can just not play them, you know?

Counterargument. Did the allocation of resources to create a game lead to or coincide with a hypothetically better game by the same parent company getting sidelined or cancelled? Is that not cause to wish the a game hadn't been created? Look at how the FF14 team had to rush the conclusion of game's overarching story in the Endwalker expansion because Square Enix poached talent from the studio to make FF16. Look at how Camelot, was it? hasn't been allowed to continue the Golden Sun story because they've been relegated to Mario Golf.

I mean, I suppose, but I don't want to play anything you mentioned in this so I'm still okay with my criteria.

If it is for their fandoms: Final Fantasy VII(R) and Persona 5 (Royal) hands down. But I like them as games, P5 was my ticket to the MegaTen world after all.
If it is because I can't stand the gameplay AND the fandom: Fifa or any EA Sport one, Genshin Impact (I used to kinda like it, but then the gacha side got way more noticeable), Fortnite and so many others. Even if they technically get the videogame economy going.

Surprised so many people are saying Nier? I mean the OG had awful gameplay (but Cavia literally had almost no budget so ofc it was bad) but it gave us some sad bangers like Emil, Kaine, and Song of the Ancients. Lord knows if humanity would be the same without the music lmao.

I kind of agree with you on Persona 5. I think it's a mix of it being pushed back so much (remember Winter 2014 when people thought we'd get P5 lol) and then when it came out it was still underbaked imo. And honestly, that game also brought in a lot of new, but annoying fans at the time (2016-18) and most of those newer fans just did not have consoles at all, so some of them just watched the anime instead of playing the game. So once again Atlus' fault cuz they could've made it multiplatform but they didn't, which led to.....that with the P5 fanbase. There were just too many bad decisions Atlus made with P5/Royal that make me think "hey....maybe they should've tried working on this differently".

I really have to agree with you about the P5 fandom (and to an extent, the Persona fandom in general). I'm in the same position where it got me into Megami Tensei, and I do genuinely enjoy a lot of aspects of the game, but things like the harem romance stuff and more broadly the depiction of women throughout the game overall really put me off (stop sexualising teenagers, Atlus!). Unfortunately I think the game attracts the worst kind of fans, and it's really hard for me to enjoy the aspects of the game that I really do like these days because of it.
