The XBox doesn't have tons of exclusives. What it has is a hell of a vibe. Some of the 6th gen's most forgotten gems just feel RIGHT on the original XBox.

Have Whiplash as an example of what I mean.

Playing 6th generation Sonic games just felt best on Xbox so it really is a shame that the Adventure remasters came out on Gamecube exclusively. The Xbox's attitude just complimented the blue blur so much, I can't describe it! Also helps that the PS2 ports of games like Heroes and Shadow were mediocre as hell, so it was Gamecube/Xbox or insufferable framerates lol

Ace Combat 6...because it wasn't ported anywhere else
Ridge Racer 6....because it wasn't ported anywhere else.

Thankfully Ridge Racer 7 exists. That game is hella PS3.

I think the perfect thing to say is that Sonic, even to this day, always felt alternative. Rough around the edges, but highly rewarding if you stuck with it. This was a philosophy held by many of the XBOX exclusives (Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden Black, Jet Set Radio Future, Blinx The Time Sweeper, Voodoo Vince, etc.)

Sonic fit because the game design philosophy of the franchise, or lack thereof in some cases, was what made him feel right on the platform.

Although I grew up playing the Tony Hawks Pro Skater games on playstation, they really do feel like they belong on xbox. You can even set up a custom soundtrack in some of them using music installed onto your xbox harddrive since it could rip CDs. How awesome. The GTA games had that same feature too and I prefer them on the xbox also. ::biggrin

Not counting exclusives, the first ones that come to mind for me are:
  • Splinter Cell games
  • Just about every console shooter
  • Most racing games
  • Dead or Alive
  • Tony Hawk games
  • Most extreme sports games in general
  • Most licensed games (Due to usually looking the best and loading the fastest)

Yeah!!! It fits the attitude of the series that you could customize the soundtrack.

I can’t answer that, so I’ll answer games that feel LEFT on Xbox
- gta iv
- ninja gaiden 2
- vanquish
- call of duty black ops
- need for speed most wanted
- dynasty warriors 7

codda doody
Had to repeat that a few times in my head until I got it *facepalms*

Any japanese franchise that has graced the Xbox just felt waaay more at home here than anywhere else. All the Sega games, even if they weren't exclusives, just feel better here. Phantasy Star Online was probably a blast with Xbox live at the time!

But really it was Tecmo that put in the work for the system. Glad everybody mentions Dead or Alive simply because of attitude haha. The same is true for the Fatal Frames, the Xbox just felt like a good horror system. The Thing, The Suffering, even Silent Hill 2 was on there. The Otogis as well... but those are exclusives I guess.

As a kid, I swear 80% of the time it was my uncle & dad playing games that gave off weird vibes.

I grew up playing Tony hawks pro skater on playstation as well, Especially the Underground series. But I agree with you Tony hawk feels right on xbox I been playing underground and it feels better and right. At this point its for nostalgia to play on PS2,

The custom Soundtrack is dope especially it being back in the days is like you create your own gaming playlist. Why do u Prefer GTA On Xbox what's your take on it. I know to me it's the definitive edition aspect it runs better and smoother visuals.

Do you play THPS with the D-Pad or the joystick? I haven’t tried THPS on the Xbox yet but I always found that the PlayStation D-Pad was perfect for playing THPS. The GameCube D-Pad is the worst, it’s too small.
