Back in August last year, homebrew developer Gasega68K teased his ambitious attempt at bringing F-Zero-style racing to the Mega Drive. Now, the demo is finally here!

This project, titled G-Zero, aims to push the Mega Drive’s hardware to its limits with fast-paced, pseudo-3D racing. It’s not a full game yet, but what’s here is definitely an impressive curiosity for anyone interested in homebrew development or retro-inspired projects.

It's truly impressive! I made a video a few months ago on my channel talking about the Genesis' technical achievements. At the time, this demo had no rivals. It's been a huge step forward for Gasega68K ever since.
