When are you guys gonna become a State already anyways?1) LATAM culturally. North America politically.
2) Puerto Rico
3) Spanish (native) and English (bilingual schools)
4) We also invented Spanglish, I guess.
Interesting. I always wanted to learn about the specific cultures of certain US placesRegion: North America
Country: US
I'm a Las Vegas native. The heat is a nightmare, the food is good if you can afford it, and there's surprisingly little to do if you're not a tourist.
I’m so glad I wrote down rule 41) LATAM culturally. North America politically.

I know this is a bit of nowhere, but I’m a surprisingly good ear with political stuff and this is a topic I’m absolutely invested in so don’t feel discouraged from dming me if you wanna ramble about it to someone#1 is the main reason we will probably never become a State. The United States of America is big on English only in government and business. That would never fly over here. After all the years of indoctrination, we are still culturally very much Latin American. Only way I see it happening if there's a massive movement of Americans to Puerto Rico, like what happened in Hawaii.
And let's probably not talk more about this as it definitely gets political, lol.

This is actually a common convo piece between me and my dad. He loves learning about this too.
Yeah, I got that. I honestly figured it was a lot more complicated.#1 is the main reason we will probably never become a State. Don't ley anyone else ruin your day! Ruin it yourself, be proactive!
Yeah, I got that. I honestly figured it was a lot more complicated.
On a side note, how's the weather down there?
I think it's like 5 outside here. All the snow melted in the heat wave, so there is no blocking the wind.
Good time to work on my Spanglish I guess.
You gotta be like those rich Snowbirds. They fly south for the winter.I've lived in Massachusetts so I know how that goes. Honestly the snow doesn't sound that bad sometimes. Especially when it is 110 degrees over here.

4. Yes "Oye weon! Pasame esa wea que esta encima de la wea al lado del weon que esta puro weando" is a real Chilean sentence

I'm pretty sure he meant no disrespect, and is very sorry for the misunderstanding. There's 3 Indonesians in the replies, including me. Only 1 Malaysian I can see on page 1.
Also, Bahasa Indonesia and Bahasa Melayu are 2 very different languages, even if developed from the same root. It's our Indonesians' language of unity. Please show some respect
