I don't think this game needs an introduction.
Anyone currently playing Fortnite? or maybe in the past?
What level are you? How many hours did you put into it?
Do you play regular or zero-Build?

Fornite is a cool, i actually like it even to play solo but rn cant because AntiCheat and linux does not likey... still i like the zero build mode and the festival mode when cool songs are available :3

Also obligatory comment: Ever since i got the Hatsune Miku Skin my life has been completed >:3

No. Its been pretty mainstream for quite awhile now.

I think the reason it became mainstream is because all the kids that grew up with video games are now old enough to have kids and maybe grandkids of their own and the only ones who grew up before video games are seniors. Seems like playing video games is as normal was watching TV to a lot of people today.

But I'm pretty out of touch, what do I know
I've never played Fortnite.

I'm admittedly not a Fortnite person, but the Miku skin is really cute I'll admit.

Well if i recall it was really rare to find a gamer in the places i frequented then fortnite came around along with PUBG and everyone went crazy people who had no idea what games are were talking Framerates and aim and spray patterns.....but maybe in the west it was different

I maxed out the Darth Vader battle pass one long and boring summer, and I played to get the Bulma skin when it was new.
Zero Build is legitimately fun sometimes, but I haven't played in ages, it's also not very fun by yourself.

I was one of the few unlucky people who got into the hype of Fortnite before it was a Battle Royale and paid for early access for "Survive the Storm" :P Then the game mode I got into it for got left on the side of the road for Battle Royale. I did get into it briefly again about 3 years ago when I had a Xbox Series X and had some fun in Zero Build mode. No longer have a xbox and it doesn't work on Linux so not a major lost that I can't play it anymore.

I think I started playing again, like last week, after not touching it for a good 2 months. I tend to have these gaps in my time with the game where I just don't touch it. I'm not too concerned about the "metas" or "bad seasons," I literally just stop playing because my friend group and I tend to get burned from the game more often than when we were in high school. We just play it to kill time and get some quick thrills. AND also to check out the new skins lol. I don't even really play the "new" seasons since I usually just play squads on OG zero build. My hands just don't move like they used to to keep up with these players who are building and editing faster than I can look across my monitor I am happy now that I can play the game and not be tempted to buy more cosmetics since I know I won't be consistently playing enough to validate the purchase.

Between trailers (that I always found cringeworthy), seeing people playing it, random gameplay footage I always got passively on YouTube reels...I don't get it. It's one of those games I don't see the appeal, and having it as an excuse of "making something relevant again" thanks to its infinite collabs feels disturbing (if not depressing) to hear. I really don't think that Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hery Academia, Street Fighter, God of War etc. actually needed mainstream battle royale to become relevant, but apparently for many people it's the case.

Me and my girlfriend have been playing splitscreen duos for years. 500 something hours. If someone gets downed we take them into a corner and teabag them until they die or their partner comes.
It's great for making the partner rush in without thinking, and I really truly hope someone is screaming into a mic "HURRY THEY'RE HUMPING ME"
