First NON SONIC Sega Game You Played?

My first non-Sonic SEGA game is either Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, or Ecco the Dolphin for the SEGA CD. Sorry, I do not remember which one I played first.

Fairly sure it was Spider-Man vs The Kingpin.

Either that or Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.

altered beast on the mega drive. off the top of my headzors it is still my favourite mega drive game.

That Altered Beast artwork is great. I didn't like the game as a kid, but I ended up appreciating it once I got into games like Splatterhouse and whatnot.

Gunstar Heroes (Treasure) was one, if not first SEGA game I've played besides Sonic the Hedgehog way back in the early 90s on my neighbors Genesis. Then Dynamite Headdy, and Ristar followed.

I want to say it was Sakura Wars: So Long My Love for the Wii. I probably played something else before then, but that's the first one I can remember that wasn't Sonic.

I have foggy memories of playing a Sega arcade racer at a laundromat when I was small. My intuition is telling me it was OutRun 2 (this would've been the 2000s) but I could easily be wrong. If not that, then one of the Genesis games on the Ultimate Collection for PS3, probably.

For me, it was most likely the Mega Games I cartridge, so my first non-Sonic Sega game was either Super Hang-On, World Cup Italia 90, or Columns.

I can definitely remember the first game I rented. Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. I absolutely loved that game, even though I found the ending underwhelming when I finally completed it 15 years later.

Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle was the first Genesis game I played that wasn’t a Sonic as well. I was a kid, and the title of “SEGA’s mascot before Sonic” intrigued me. I found it okay, and still do, but I’d guess many of the Master System entries are far better. Hopefully, there’s less “Ro-Sham-Bo” in those, which can determine how fun your journey is in a way that is entirely up to chance.

Pretty sure OG Alex Kidd (in Miracle World) uses the same concept for bosses.

For me it was either streets of rage or columns. I just remember having both MegaGames 1 & 2 and playing all 6 games to death, even when i was bad at the games.
