First dragon you remember fighting in a video-game

I don't remember most likely naga flyers in WarCraft 3 they are some sort of dragon , that or the mighty undead frost wyrms.

Akravator from Legend of Mana, it was one of the few bosses you could fight over and over and iirc the first of the 3 dragons you fight so it was a fairly memorable boss. LoM is actually one of the first rpgs I ever finished, partially because I played it coop with my sister so I wasn't the one figuring out where to go.

Either Dr Willy mech dragon from MegaMan 2 or the red dragon from D&D, I don't remember which I fought first.

I don't know, but the first dragon-heavy game I played was probably Breath of Fire 2. It was a big part of how I got into RPGs.

Not certain if skeletal dragon's count, but the White Bone Dragon from Castlevania NES

There's also Metroid NES Ridley, if you consider him a dragon.

Not a difficult dragon fight but still a dragon.

Yes I know, this is technically a wyvern but in-game it's called "Dragon".

First time fighting a dragon!...hmm... I think in Ghost n Goblins(Nes), he sure is a mf!

This was a very cool encounter, and not because of the huge dragon lol. A memorable one all the same.

An earlier one I can remember, which I am not sure counts as a dragon

So DnD esque.

Tell me, why dragons are sometimes drawn with fins?
it might be an influence form japan. dragons are more sea serpent like in their mythology. like the mist dragon [ff4] and gyarados [pokemon].

Thank you, I often saw them in DQ's dragons too.

I kinda like to imagine that Dragons aren't 100% reptilians.

In some mythos they're more like chimeras.

there's no way to know for certain. if they were a real species, they might be a plethora of different varieties. wings, wingless, scales, no scales. i'm not super familiar with animal biology, but animals can be quite strange and unusual.
i heard one time that there was a theory about dragons being a slightly creative way of ancient civilizations recording encounters and sightings of UFOs.

Pretty early on and such peak title-screen while the music makes it much more Epic .
