I agree, though I feel it needs a random 50 floor dungeon mode attached to this crazy class variety to really get its cherry on top; I hope a mode like this gets integrated at some point (look up Final Fantasy Randomizer, it's one of the modes it offers).It's a great rendition of Final Fantasy 1.
You can stick to a mostly vanilla playthrough and enjoy the QOL features like auto-targeting, but I highly recommend checking out the new classes. They all have unique talents that make playthroughs more interesting. Some even have quests to unlock their full potential.
There's also an absurd number of achievements for the maniacs out there.
