holy fuck balls for the year 2025 jesus that's alot. i recall nintendo doing cloud streaming for the kingdom hearts games.... (i wonder if they still do....)
blame Square-Enix for being a rushed bitch as Sora was announced for Super Smash Bros Ultimate in fact... WAS BECAUSE TO ''STORAGE ISSUES'' THAT THEY DECIDED TO MAKE IT IN CLOUD INSTEAD OF NATIVE PORTS!

dude... YOU ALREADY COMPRESSED ZODIAC AGE AT 13GB!

After the "Patayy" Quistis asks me to follow her to the training area after hours.
For what reason, who knows?

View attachment 136101I meet up with her, and she tells me about the horrible monster known as
T. Rexaur. So I guess she called me here to kill a dinosaur?? Man, It's late, I'm tired and you want me to kill a whole ass T-Rex? To make matters worse there's even more tutorials. Quistis teaches me how to junction statuses onto my weapons, which is admittedly pretty cool. Now I have a BIT more of a hang of the junction system, the tutorials don't bother me too much.

After the preparations are complete we engage in a glorious battle. A long one too. A long, glorius battle. More Shiva spam than you could ever imagine. I'm glad I figured out this guy is weak to cold.
But it seems like this dinosaur wasn't our "main attraction". As we make it to the next room my eyes are caught by the absolutely stunning scenery. It's midnight as I'm playing so the vibes are well-matched.

View attachment 136103View attachment 136104

Quistis informs me that she's no longer an instructor, and has become a simple foot soldier like Squall. I can tell this news fills her with a lot of grief. I admit so far she's been my least favorite party member because most of her screentime has just consisted of telling me what to do, but I can't help but feel bad for her.

View attachment 136105

And
Squall doesn't really seem to care.

View attachment 136106

On our way out, we save this girl. After taking down a T-Rex, this bug is no sweat.

View attachment 136107View attachment 136108

Man, what a dick.

Well, Squall's edginess aside, it's time to be on our way. We meet up with our buddies
Zell and Selphie!!

View attachment 136109

Zell makes his grand entrance on his T-Board, only for it to promptly get confiscated. Y'know those are against the rules, right?

View attachment 136110

Now we're in SeeD we don't have to wear any dumb uniforms.
I'd say we look pretty snazzy!

We're on our way to our next mission, just the 3 of us. But before that, i've got an hour or two of fucking around to do. Before we leave we're given this
Magic Lamp. Its item description specifically says to save before using it so I took the hint. Let's see what this thing holds...

YIPES!!! A DEMON!

I really wanted to beat this guy but it was no use. I'll try him again whenever I get my hands on wind magic. I spent the rest of my session playing a shit ton of triple triad soooo. Tune in, next episode of Final Fantasy VIII we venture on to Timber!!!

CONTINUED PART 8 (holy shit!! just like THIS final fantasy game)
He is beatable you just need to try hard enough , Diablos is a GOATED GF he is very important for selphie at this point and will help later on i won't tell you what he does but he kicks ass in every way imaginable.

Hello! Welcome to my Final Fantasy VIII blind LP!

In this thread I will play through Final Fantasy VIII on the PSX for the first time, while posting occasional updates. I'm playing on original hardware on my trusty Xstation, so no save states and yeah, the footage is gonna look a little crusty.
I've already played like 2 hours in so ill do my best to sum up the beginning (I spent most of it lost in the beginning area >_<)

Feedback is appreciated, but please don't spoil me!
I'm alright with gameplay tips and story refreshers.
But if you're going to mention anything that takes place throughout the game's story,
make sure to it!

The Game starts with a super cool FMV cutscene, So far my favorite thing about the game. There's this guy I later learned was named Squall (I'm using the default names) he likes this girl I guess, and he doesn't like this asshole guy (named Seifer) who cuts him in the face. Cool intro but no clue what to make of it. Judging by how the logo consists of Squall and that girl hugging, I guess that's the main crux of this game, not sure how though.

View attachment 132099Squall wakes up in what first seemed to be a hospital but later I learned was some type of school. The students are training for something called a SeeD exam. We'll learn later what's that for.

View attachment 132100View attachment 132098

So our first mission is to go to the [Fire Cave]. Guess I gotta fight a god for this exam. View attachment 132101
I should have told the teacher I was sick today.]

Oh oops! You're right!
I forgot to bring my girlfriend! Wherever could she be?

Onward! To the [Fire Cave]View attachment 132104!

(Note: I didnt get any screencaps of this dungeon so take an artists' depiction)

View attachment 132105

After we beat Ifrit, the exam was through. A bunch of shit happens and we're on our first mission. Seems like this school is some sort of military school, so into the warzone it is.

MK 1 on PS5 takes 150GB and it's not even a good MK game. i should un-install it.... also tekken 8 takes 100GB on PS5 i should un-install that has well......

They just cram too much content in there!

A demo for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Demo is up on Switch 2, but there's just one problem. The file size for the demo is 87.9 GB.::homerscream
So yeah, this demo will cost that much space for your SD card compared to the full game which is 99GB that's 12 gigs higher. I think Square-Enix or Nintendo should do this for huge games with enormous file sizes. Add a separate 250GB SD card included with the game and swap the SD cards back and forth so the previous SD card with all the software and data will be saved while the other SD card is used for a game that uses up a lot of space for a giant file sizeView attachment 136274
And that's a problem. How big do you think the main game will be? Get a larger memory card.

I always wonder I have no space and it's always one of these games.

I got MK 1 just for Conan, he's actually pretty great.::megadancebaby

I've had FF7 rebirth on there for a while as I'm chipping away at that game, nearly finished, Shinra middle manager is being a pain in the ass as the last regular quest in the game :(, the boxing mini game specifically.::badpc

The demo being about 8 gigs sounds about right though for a game with that much graphical fidelity.

I know they could optimise it more, but that is more our problem than theirs.::eggmanlaugh

I'll stick to stuff that doesn't take half of my internal storage thanks

No spoilers, but there is a trick to defeating Diablo ;)

I'm fine with gameplay tips. I'd rather hear tips from people online than read a walkthrough. I assume it has something to do with wind magic? I casted scan on him and it said he was weak to it

Blind him.
Without his physical attacks he can only use Demi which literally cannot kill you.

You can also draw demi from him and use it to clear like 1/4 of his health in one hit, then you can just keep chipping away and healing/rezzing yourself when an attack squeaks by, and re-blinding him when it wears off.

It takes ages but his health scales with your level or stats (can't remember which) so he ain't getting easier lmao

playing some more of ff renaissance and just got to elf kingdom. i was wondering what the grave would say. wasn't expecting this.

16 MSQs to be done with Stormblood post-game.
If on a side I feel I would have fun with Crisis Core Reunion, on the other I already confirmed myself of accidental side-quests skipped...rather than restart the game all over, I guess I'm gonna finish it. I did played the og on PSP, it's nothing new, but the gameplay revamped is so much fun. I guess that will counter-balance.

...or I can keep with whatever else I never beat for the main story (XIII-2 + LR, X-2, XII Revenant Wings, any Tactics and Crystal Chronicles).

From Erdrick to Link to just a random (?) Cid. The Lufenian one doesn't count.

Weren't there Link?

Found it:

The Japanese version of The Adventure of Link contains an Easter egg that hints about our hero’s whereabouts. When visiting Saria Town en route to Death Mountain, Link passes a graveyard. In the western version of the game, no dialogue options exist for the tombstones; however, the Japanese version includes a tribute to a fallen Square Enix hero.

When translated to English, the text reads, “The hero Loto sleeps here.” Loto is the Japanese name for Erdrick, who is the main protagonist of the third Dragon Quest game. In subsequent games, the Hero of Legend is often referred to as Erdrick, which pays homage to the original Dragon Quest games. Perhaps the Zelda series and other Square Enix games share a similar universe?

yeah, cid of lufenian isn't dead.
i almost get the impression that this might refer to a real person who went by the nickname cid. the dates would line up with that, especially since ff1 seems more like it takes place in the 1600's.

yeah, this is the first game remade with the unity engine. there's two modes, classic and renaissance. you get multiple save files for both modes. there's new jobs, weapons, armor, spells and there are seemingly side quests somewhere in the game and new enemies at some point.
yeah, it was the name of the guy from dragon warrior one, then the remakes changed it to link and now it is cid in this one. i was expecting link, but it's a different name in this version.

Play FFX it kicks ass, especially the new HD remaster. Leave that garbage called
FF7 in the dung heap, you would have more fun doing this:

Maybe because of copyright risks. On the GBA it was safer.

I wish they either went back to Erdrick since it's Square Enix or made a reference to another franchise from Square like the Mana series.

Just wanted to say I finally played Crisis Core, and I already miss it. I’m really disappointed though. I planned to 100% all the missions after finishing the story and was about 50% done, but after the ending the game let me save, and that save basically wipes your progress and makes you start over. I’m sadly not starting over right now.
