UNDUB Info: Patch by swosho Source: https://archive.org/details/ffcc_the_crystal_bearers_undub_patch Notes: A surprisingly simple but perfect undub, the only semi-tricky thing about it was one sneaky sound bank in the B archive. Don't forget to enable subtitles in the pause menu at the very start of the game. Phenix8fr undubbed the PAL version privately back in 2020 and shared it the following year, but I didn't get around to checking it out, so can't really comment if our undubs are comparable.

This game is so sick. Flying the ship part was so awesome. It sucks my pc can barely run it. The game even has Laura Bailey which makes the dub instantly better

Thanks mate, I'm really focusing on bringing all the available Wii Undub patched games, and also most of them are really gems that people don't talk much because they aren't Nintendo properties.

I'm glad you're enjoying!
The Wii was a great console I own like 200+ games for it and I still have it hooked up to my TV. I even brought a second console to for a back up. Keep up the good work, there are some proper gems in that library.

Geez Tony Horo, your Kicking Ass with all the Wii uploads. Forgot all about this one, played it at a mates house when it released. Going to put this on my collection list. Cheers.

For anyone not in the know, you can use an actual Wiimote with Dolphin. even without an adapter. you enter the controllers tab in dolphin, go down to where it says "emulate the Wii's bluetooth adapter" and set it to "Real Wii remote". then activate "continuous scanning" and click "refresh" then press buttons on your wiimote until it finds it. That last part is a bit of a crap shoot, sadly. Sometimes it will find it right away. sometimes you will sit there for like 5 minutes trying. but I have had this work every time.
some wiimotes are also compatible with normal bluetooth, but apparently most arent. but it's worth a shot IMO.
My Dolphinbar is going bad but with this I may not need to get another (and use my USB sensor bar for IR lights).

Previously I could never pair my Wii remotes to my PC with standard BT and failed to find one of those BT adapters that are fully compatible because they use the same chip as the Wii or whatever so you can use the passthrough option in Dolphin, which is why I got the Dolphinbar.

I tried your solution and at least with my BT adapter it worked like a charm.

The only other thing I do with the Dolphinbar is use it in mouse mode for non-Dolphin lightgun game emulation but that should be doable as well because the controllers stay paired even after closing Dolphin, it just streamlines the process of pairing with Windows.

Sadly I tried Gunmote to map mouse controls for non Dolphin games but the cursor was very erratic. It's not the USB sensor bar's fault as within Dolphin functionality is just as good as it was with the Dolphinbar without pointer or other issues so I need to find another app that works.

Holy cow this is obscure, I'm pretty sure this game was only sold at the clearance section of rite-aid/walmarts back in 2011-1012

You can map the movements the game uses to a button or analogue stick.
I've tried that with a few games. It always ends up feeling janky. Even Donkey Kong was weird and that only used the motion controls for the ground pound but it still didn't work well as a button.

Charming game but they really botched the controls, putting the camera separate from the cursor and on the d-pad. A remaster of this would be pretty sweet with standard third person action controls and centered crosshair (and on Wii itself it would have been great if they just made it control more like Metroid Prime 3 in terms of aiming and camera). It wouldn't be amazing or anything but at least the controls wouldn't get in the way of the simple gravity gun with elemental reaction shenanigans combat and the exploration of its cool little sandbox areas.

Does anyone know how can i play this with a normal controller in dolphin? as far as i know this game could only be played with wiimote+nunchuck

It would be nice if uploaders could add which type of controllers work with Wii games. So many of these look interesting until I look them up or read the comments and find out they have some motion control nonsense.

YES Finally an undub for this game <3

The graphics of this game looks so good, homestly.

I was wondering when this would get posted.

I bought this at Walmart for like $10 in 2011 which amusingly was how I discovered the game finally got released. :P I enjoyed it enough but only finished it the one time back then. I don't remember much about it now other than one event where
the big bad is killing people on the prison ship and not knowing what to do to stop it/save them,
so that went understandably poorly. I thought the use of gravity powers was cool, but I wonder how it compares to a similar mechanic in Scarlet Nexus that I've played more recently.

I still listen to some of the TCB soundtrack even now.

Love, LOVE, LOVE!! Wish it had real Crystal Chronicles gameplay. Graphics are beyond dream. I miss this engine ( T o T )
