This is a Final Fantasy Tactics romhack for the PSX by Conman, that recreates the main battles from Final Fantasy 6 story. Description from the author: The plan is to avoid any world map/randoms/stores and just jump from one battle to another. I'm calling it {battle" rush style. Essentially the mod will assume that the player already knows the story. The main characters will be: Terra, Edgar, Celes, Sabin, Shadow, Cyan, Strago and Locke. Mog, Umaro and Banon will pop in as guests. No human type1/2 sprite exists for Mog. I worked on one for a bit and it was […]
I just got my second unknown opcode error crash during the first fight using the only emulator that runs this epsxe. Tried both chd file and bin/cue file. I'm just not having any luck. I think they need to maybe update this and make it run more stable.
cool it basicaly recreated the cool moments fight in the final fantasy 6 story arcs. i cant belive it was now possible change the story script to make a total new game out of it.
Thank you for that link that's one more amazing app that loads right into the browser. I forget what they call those but it doesn't have to transfer any files at all. I was easily able to use this to turn it into a working chd file.
Edit: Not having any luck getting this to run just yet. Swanstation acts like its loading up to the squaresoft logo and fades to black permanently.

Just tried this in pcsx rearmed. Ran perfect at first, but freezes immediately after naming the character when it displays the word airship. Not sure what emulator to run this in right now, but i quit using epsxe because it lost the ability to save games.
Now I wish I had seen your post. I've decided I'm going to update my copy and test it. It's just this emulator had an issue with saving for 3 plus years. Specifically on android. On Windows it never had that issue even once.

It was working but then it crashed. I was using chd so I'm going to try the original bin and cue.
The project is finished. He released this as a beta, but he called it beta because he's still going to polish it. I would not get my hopes up for another release soon, honestly. Getting this completed was a big milestone, 3 years in the making.
Worth noting that the file here is just the .bin, you might still need a .cue that points at the .bin. You can probably take an existing Final Fantasy Tactics .cue and modify it in a text editor to point at this .bin.
