I’ve come to the conclusion that I will watch a video essay in the blink of an eye if it’s about The Simpsons.
CaptainMidnight showed up in my feed three times this week and I happily watched all of them, because I really like hearing Simpsons superfans talk about it.

Helped that his videos were only like 10-20 minutes long.

This video simply broke me, I won't lie, I actually cried watching it. this video really made me question my gender and my own existence and identity, "The permision to be softer" these words really hurt a lot, this video changed my life, This isn’t just a video essay, this is what I call genuine art, it’s a genuine conversation about being a truer self and not caring about social norms (even though they inevitably do). This is probably the best video, message and editing wise that I’ve seen in a long time.
