PS1 Favorite of the original crash trilogy and why?

I recently discovered that I don't really like the Crash games anymore. I grew up with 3 and *groan* Wrath of Cortex.
But out of the old ones I think that 2 is probably the most enjoyable. I like the vibe of 3 the most but it's got a bit too many gimmick stages for me.

I know everyone likes em, but I've always hated those vehicle stages in 3.

They only got worse in 4. I swear the jeep in wrath of cortex just stopped when it felt like it.

Turning with the motorcycle is like turning with a speeding train operated by a person you don't speak the same language as.

1st one with the actual feeling of traveling through the islands is really cool

The first one that I actually played on a friends PS and it was amazing, the levels the variety, etc. All fo them are good, but for me 3 is king.

3. Because of the variety and also a bit of nostalgia, since it's the only one I played as a kid.

I've put more hours into Warped, and I think it combines the best of the previous two well
