Quite similar to this thread (https://retrogametalk.com/threads/favorite-intros.668/). But anyway, mine would be
Love their consistency on delivering hype intos, i don't remember there being a bad Smash intro tbh.

Ninja Gaiden on NES. Top notch for its time.

Metal Gear Solid 2's Tank Chapter intro. Metal Gear Solid 1 also has a great opening cinematic as well.

One of the first "Cinematic" ones for their time.

I always thought the Shinobi 3 (Super Shinobi 2) intro was pretty rad. Not super elaborate in a cinematic sense but really sets the tone of the game and has great music.

They making a new game, which looks pretty cool, though I'd still prefer these...

New game being...

Yeah, the new Shinobi has potential, but I feel it's lost some of the grit of the Mega Drive entries. We'll see, though. Hopefully it has some sort of cool infinite mode like SoR4 as a post game.

ff6 is an obvious choice cos that's one of the first serious things i had experienced in my young gaming history

then i tried out ff7 next
it was the most cinematic shit i've ever experienced in a game, starting out in what looks like space, then transitions into sparks with this HD lady making direct eye contact with the player, then zooms out to show the setting and the scale of things and then we gain control of the main character after the train comes to a halt seamlessly going from cutscene to gameplay in an effort to showcase the best of what the most recent technology was capable of

This gets me hyped for adventure.
Indeed! Currently playing through both!::thumbsupwario

Never played the OG FF7 but the first time I saw this intro was on Crisis Core's ending on the PSP.

A buddy of mine and I used to play Gundam Extreme Vs on Ps3 and sometimes we would just let the intro play before we actually played anything.
