I haven't seen this topic or a similar topic posted yet, so I'll be the first to make one.

With Halloween still about three weeks away, what're some candies you like to eat around Halloween time?

I would pick Reese's, Butterfingers, M&M's, (regular and peanut butter), Snickers, Hersey's Cookies and Creme, Twix, Heath, Reese's Pieces, Nestle Crunch and Kit Kats.

Phenomenal post idea, VampireLord! My favourites are:

  • Sour Patch Kids (along with their variations [Sour Patch Watermelon, Super Sour Patch Kids eXtreme, Sour Patch Fun Mix, etc.]), which are my favourite candy ever and something I hope to be enjoying a lot of this year. When they first introduced blue SPKs in the mid-2010s, I was extremely skeptical, because I thought they'd throw off the delicate balance of flavours, but I've warmed to them with age.
  • Peanut M&M's, my preferred variant of the M&M dynasty. Unfortunately, in recent years, fun-sized peanut M&M packs only have between 4 and 6 candies per pack, which often disappoints me. I also like the peanut butter kind, but I put a lot of value on the crunch of a full legume.
  • Nerds (the Wonka candy), which have been a cherished treat for me since I was but a tot. My favourite kind are the pink/purple combo boxes, but I've also been known to pound back one of the rainbow mega-mixes when I'm feeling particularly confident about my insulin levels. I have NOT yet tried those new gummies with Nerds coating the outside, but plan to in the future and will report back when I do.
  • Kinder chocolates of any variety, but specifically the kind that actually mix hazelnut into the chocolate itself (Bueno bars, Schoko-bons, etc.). The Kinder brand isn't really a huge thing at Halloween, but I do believe they make special stuff for it, and I'll give it a chomp when the opportunity arises. (SORRY, AMERICANS!!! ::winnie::winnie::winnie)
  • Everything that the two fine, intelligent posters above me have already mentioned, with Butterfinger and Twix products especially highlighted.

Here in Canada, we also have a traditional, extremely-common variety pack of Nestle chocolates that are omnipresent at Halloween. This pack, without exception, includes Kit Kats, Coffee Crisp (a coffee-flavoured, chocolate-coated wafer bar, which I believe is exclusive to Canada), Smarties (the chocolate U.K. kind, not the American candy tablets [known as "Rockets" here]), and Aero.

Usually, these are palm-sized mini bars that can be easily shared (and, in the case of Coffee Crisp, reserved for moms as a show of reverence), but full-sized packs have become popular in recent years. If you ever come here at Halloween time, you'll see these big, red boxes in every drugstore, supermarket, and suburban household across the nation.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, red Swedish Fish, M&M's, KitKats, those mini bags of Snyder's potato chips, never liked Snickers as a kid but i love em as an adult.

If you aren't able to find Sour Patch Kids where you are – I know this is a problem in Europe – Haribo Goldbears are an acceptable substitute. I believe they use most of the same ingredients as SPKs, and I trust Haribo as a leader in the international gummy marketplace.

I'm assuming you mean NERDS Rope, and if so, you absolutely SHOULD try it. Whoever thought to put those two combinations together deserves some kind of "winner of life" achievement because it is the most sweetest yummy candy I've ever had.

I liked eating NERDs Rope years ago but I haven't had any in most recent years. Regular NERDs candy was also kind of good.

They have these other ones now called NERD's Gummy Clusters where instead of a gummy rope, it's small gummy balls covered in NERDs candy. They come in different flavors.

There's also Big Chewy NERDs that come in a box and kinda look like friut snacks where the entire thing is covered in one hard shell, but you are still able to chew them since the center is soft.

I didn't know about those, so thank you for letting me know. I'll look them up sometime later when I'm able to, though I haven't seen them in stores before mainly since I don't eat candy as much within more recent years.

Anything chocolate, really. I do get really excited for Starburst, though.
