It's hard to choose one game, but if i had to, it'll be one of Castlevania games.

Laws are shit, and there's no monster taming, but it has the best Thief Class in RPGS, racial based classes are more fun than gender ones (though both would be preferred) and freewheeling equipment slots should be a mainstay in all RPGs. Neverending Story vibes, story often misunderstood, 1000/10 best Christmas ever.

Golden Sun for me, I remember pouring over Nintendo Power when I first started seeing coverage about the game and at the time I only had a Gameboy Color. I saved up some money and picked up a GBA and Golden Sun. I spent a lot of time playing that game before moving to other GBA games. I loved everything about the game, its graphics, combat system and its story.

Tricky question honestly. I probably spent the most time with Pokemon Emerald, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Yu-Gi-Oh World Championship 2004 or Crash 2: N-Tranced. If I had to pick one I'd revisit now (which would make it my pick I guess), I'd likely go with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Great game, even if the DS version is technically a bit better.

My absolute favorite GBA game is Casltevania: Aria of Sorrow.

But I also like Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (even if it feels a little rushed), Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (I do not get all of the flack this game gets), Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland, Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Fired Red, and Leaf Green, Sonic Advance 2 (I never owned 1 or 3), every GBA Yu-Gi-Oh! game that isn't Destiny Board Traveler (that game was TERRIBLE), Mega Man Zero 1-4, and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
