Gamecube Favorite GameCube Games

Luigi's Mansion and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle are at the top for me. There are others that I like but don't consider top of the top contenders. There's also others that are just better on other systems. My GC collection is small right now, as I had a ton of games as a kid/teen that I ended up selling for money.

That money ended up going right back into buying other games, but you know how it is.

Fire emblem path of radiance
Super smash bros Melee
Mario Strickers
simple list to be honest, but i didn't have a gamecube as a kid. Soo this games are the ones i played on friend's house along with Fire emblem that i played via emulation.
I think the gamecube has a really cool catalog, but i prefer the ps2 personally.

Top 3, I'd go:

True Crime: Streets of LA
WWE Day of Reckoning
Tony Hawk's American Wasteland

I find that whenever I just wanna hang out and chill, my thought is to pop in something that isn't really story driven and you can just mess around in.

For now it's Soul Caliber 3 ... since it was really the only game I've really played when the GC was out
I'd probably have more to list down ... but I haven't tried to see if the the Dolphin core on RetroArch runs GC games at full speed on a S22 Ultra

Some of mine are Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life, Tony Hawk's Underground 2, Crash Tag Team Racing, The Urbz: Sims in the City, The Sims 2, Lego Star Wars, Super Mario Sunshine, Shrek SuperSlam, Shrek 2, Pokemon DX: Gale of Darkness, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Barnyard, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, Sonic Heroes, Alien Hominid, Spider-Man 2, Zoids: Legacy Battle, Burnout 2: Point of Impact and Chibi Robo.
Tag Team Racing mentioned positively? No way. but for me it'd have to be Melee, Twilight Princess, and Metroid Prime 2.

Tales of Symphonia was one of my favorite RPGs at the time, I even used to be on a RP forum based on it.
I'd also pick Donkey Konga, the only rhythm game I bothered to play with its peripheral and Wario Ware Inc is a blast with friends, great memories were made.

Honorable mention to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, even if I never finished it, still liked it a lot.

Before the prices went insane, I hunted down every single Sonic game on the cube, which isn’t too impressive until you remember that I was a child working on a child’s budget.

But, Metroid Prime was my favorite game on the console. Was my second favorite game for years until it got surpassed recently. Luigi’s Mansion also really clicked with me too.

A lot of third party games were pretty great, but I play them on the original XBox nowadays.

My favorite GameCube games include:

F-Zero GX: This game is tough, especially if you don't do snaking like I did. But this game is still very charming.
Gotcha Force: A game I wholeheartedly wish I had bought when it was new.
Super Smash Bros. Melee: A sequel to a platform fighter laying brand new ground to the series, Melee ups the ante in a way that the game is much more intense.

This game isn't particularly great or bad - but I have fond memories of an Ultimate Muscle game that was kind a mix of a wrestling game and a fighting game. My brothers and I would play it a lot and had some good laughs over the silly characters and moves. Not a hidden gem necessarily, but a pretty fun time with some friends for a little bit nonetheless.

my top 3 would probably be

Metroid Prime 1
Star Fox Adventures
Resident Evil 4

afterdeath played entries Zelda 4 Swords, Mario Golf (i would like this a bit easier, Everybody Golf like);
Need for Speed Underground is fabulous on Dolphin emulator

Finally: a person who understands that the SpongeBob Movie game is worth playing just as much as BFBB.

Love the SpongeBob Movie Game. That said, I’m looking for the XBox version nowadays because the XBox version is superior (and I like the original XBox a lot so it’s worth it just for that).
