As much as Most games are appealing to me, nothing quite like fully learning and consistently hitting combos in fighting games for me. The sportsman-ship showed in most fighting games amongst players is very nice too. Seeing communities like DBFZ and MVC3 and how awesome and intense those showdowns can get. My journey started with Street Fighter Turbo 2 for the SNES, I landed on playing MVC the most but now its mainly Tekken 8 or one of the many guilty gears that exist. Do any of you have an awesome fighting game EXP or even Fun times with friends?

Would be MK9 if it had a dedicated Vs CPU mode (1v1, not arcade tower), I prefer MKX because of that (but that one isn't my favorite either).

Ultra Street FIghter IV is also up there with those two.

MK9 and 10 are gems of games, MK vs DC was THAT for me lol

As a kid my go-to's were Tekken 3, KoF '98 and Darkstalkers 3 on PS1
When I got into emulation and PC games, I got to play Skullgirls, Blazblue, Guilty Gear and Garou.
As of recently, the longest I played and go back to are Garou, KOF XV and Skullgirls.

Granted that I got average skill and don't fight online. ::winkfelix

lol skullgirls and blazblue are just such fun games, truly underrated as said before

Oh I'm also a fan of Injustice 1 but the graphics and story place it way down for me.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, Tekken 5, Capcom VS SNK 2, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and Tekken 5 are some of my favorite that I can think of from the top of my head at the moment. Although I'm not even remotely good at any of these games except maaaybe Brawl.

injustice played really well but felt heavy and kinda spammy at times, it would be on the list if it felt a little more smoother.

Definitely Brawl, mainly because of childhood. But I also played a fair amount of Accent Core Plus R on my Switch years back, mainly to mess around.
That's funny you say accent core, i play that one the most recently . me and my buddy Black have some intense moments.

That might be one of the hardest questions for me since I love so many of them, but pretty much anything Capcom had back in the arcades but I think Darkstalkers would be my pick if I only had to have one of them. I also love Soulcalibur, Bloody Roar and Psychic Force. Also Dragon Ball FighterZ and all other Arc Sys games

Bloody Roar 2 was the game i played a lot with my father. So it has a special place for me (so sad for how 4 killed the serie with the bad choices in gameplay)

Other games are

Tekken 3/5
Super Dragon Ball Z (VERY underrated game)
Marvel vs Capcom (hell, all the good old VS games where fun)
Digimon Rumble Arena (mostly if you have someone to play with)
Skullgirls
Samurai Showdown
The King of Fighters
Soul Blade/Calibur (3 even has that awesome story mode with your created characters.... also the gamebreaking bug that killed the game, but can be avoided)
Street Fighter (Alpha 3 give me hours of fun)
And even more

Honestly, there are so many hidden gem in fighting games that is hard to even list them

I've been a long-time Mortal Kombat fan, and I mean dating back to the MK1 arcade days. It and Soulcalibur are probably my two favorite fighting games, with Skullgirls, Street Fighter and Tekken being my second choices. I do like them and especially loved the Kreate-A-Fighter mode in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon.

I've always Love when fighters have CAC modes.

Such a shame we don't have more Digimon fighting games or heck more Pokken. Both of those series have great potentials for proper fighting game series

i love this, i played alot on old arcades and attended tourneys when i was young so this one gets nostalgia points

couldnt agree more about the CAC, its always neat to make a Dasani water bottle in soul calibur but MK is just one of those games thats always a great idea with friends over. as i kid i used to grind the crypt in one of the games.

Super Smash Bros, especially Smash Remix and Melee

If we get to actual Fighting games, as a Mexican, my first words were "Chinga tu madre Rugal"(Well, fuck yourself Rugal), ironically my fav of the saga isn't 2002, but 2003 and 97

I only tried a few of them (Dead Or Alive series, Soul Calibur), but I liked them a lot.

My fav: "Soul Calibur 3" (ps2) and "Dead or Alive Dimensions" (3DS).

I also played a bit of DoA on psvita and ps2. Oh, and when I was very young and my parents had just bought a pc I got "Virtua Fighter 2", my fav characters were the blonde girl (Sarah?) and the guy (Jacky, just looked for the name on google though)!
