As someone who hasn't played any of the Digimon games and enjoyed Digimon Tamers my favorite is Terriermon

Also I'd argue that evolution has... evolved

The old Darwin model is quite obsolete (like the atom image we all have in mind in cartoons and comics).

Taomon looks cool.

I like the concept of fusion between a trainer and digimon for a more powerful form.

It has been and will always be Veemon. Okay, that's not true, it was Gabumon before Veemon existed and they both rule. There's quite a lot of other Digimon I like. Terriermon, Guilmon, Renamon, Impmon, Bearmon, Gaomon, Elecmon and Monodramon. Yes they are all rookies, I'd be here all night otherwise! If you don't like it, Veemon has something to say to you.

Also, I came across this Digimon. Never seen it before, apparently it popped up last year. Really cute and also really weird. Shoeshoemon is it's name.

I'll be honest, Renamon is popular (thanks furries lol) for sure but I prefer when they're drawn with a slender body (barely showing curves) as they're more like a fighter as well as having a "colder" look.

Much as I am a basic bitch for Renamon and her evos, Gatomon and her digivolutions will never be replaced in my heart. She was so cool styling on the Champions, and actually had a fleshed-out personality and backstory compared to the other Digidestined 'mons. Poor Wizardmon.

Magnadramon is lovely, as is Angewoman. Ophanimon is cool, and her Falldown Mode is a mood some days. Even Salamon and Nyaromon are cute l'il floofs.

My many runner-ups include: Renamon + all its digivolutions (as I mentioned), Guilmon + Gallantmon, Leomon + BanchoLeomon, Beelzemon, Wizardmon (o7), Bastemon, Gabumon + Weregarurumon, Biyomon + Birdramon, Hawkmon, SkullMeramon + Boltmon, Vademon, Coronamon + all its digivolutions, Bearmon, Etemon, Shoemon + all its digivolutions EXCEPT THE MEGA FORM... mostly a lot of fuzzballs and furry bait, really.

There are two main types of Digimon fans, I find: those who life anime waifus, and those who like furries. Luckily, Digimon appeals to both crowds. ;)
