Anime Favorite Anime Studios

What are your favorite anime studios? What name incites confidence in you that a show/movie will be good? I know that a studio's output quality can very well vary, but think about it averagely.

Mine are Studio Bones and Doga Kobo. No.6 was one of the first anime's I watched, so was Noragami. Fullmetal Alchemist, My Hero Academia, Darker than Black, Mob Psycho, Stray Dogs, Soul Eater, etc.. They've put out some really solid stuff and have done so pretty consistently.
Doga Kobo may not have had the same global success, but they are also incredibly consistent in what they put out, even if it's weeb stuff, CGDCT and SoL. I'm really happy that Oshi no Ko has become this popular and got renewed for a third season, a first in the studio's history I believe.

And don't all write Ghibli or there will be consequences! Once or twice is fine though and obviously necessary.

I just got a studio ghibli dvd player, the remote is shaped like an acorn. If I got another one, it would be cool to figure out how to put a console or a small pc in one or something. That be sick.

Kill La Kill was an amazing show and incredibly unique. Back then I heard some people watched it just to get off. That stuck with me. They leaned so heavily into the joke they became the object of it.

Trigger's other stuff is really good too. I specifically remember BNA, though I have to admit, I still need to watch Dungeon Meshi and Edgerunners. Man, I'm kinda falling behind.

You could try putting a Raspberry Pi Zero in there. Maybe make it a little media server for the movies.

Studio Ghibli and Gainax. Honestly, those are the only two I can remember. I don't pay attention to studio names.

I think Nippon Animation or Mushi Pro are my personal favorites. The reason for Nippon is because I absolutely love World Masterpiece Theater. After watching every piece of Ghibli film and media, (even including that canal documentary heh) the next reasonable step is to check out Takahata and Miyazaki's works and they shine under Nippon, I really love 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother, Anne of Green Gables, Heidi: Girl of the Alps, and of course Future Boy Conan (also check out Lupin the 3rd: Part 1 too!). Isao and Hayao are such a wonderful duo together in both writing, animation, and directing even more so prior to Ghibli.

For Mushi Pro it's because I'm a huge Tezuka fan, the Animerama trilogy was really enthralling (albeit flawed, I think Belladonna is the best movie in my opinion). Plus Tezuka's experimental shorts with Tales of a Street Corner and Pictures at an Exhibiton are really great art pieces. Plus Ashita No Joe is quite good! (Plus check out Phoenix if you're interesed in getting into his manga!)

I would also probably include, as an honorable mention, Gainax, which is needs no introduction, the history behind them is so fascinating. My personal favorites include FLCL, Gunbuster, and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt.

Last thing, sorry for taking so much space, but I do love Yuasa's studio and films. He has a strange quality to them that I can't put down, very distinict, explosive style. Loved Mind Game, Cat Soup, and Kaiba, quite surreal and wonderful. I think the way he portrays flaws, characters, and the human condition in such a tender and geniune way really speaks to me.

Huge OG Shaft & ufotable fan.

Back around 2010 (when I first started getting into this stuff) it was simpler times. Everybody would always recommend you "the essentials" which usually fell under Madhouse, Gainax, Kyoto Animation or Shaft. So depending on your tastes you'd just check out their catalog afterwards.
Ufotable began picking up steam as being the studio to do the most high-budget stuff, & I was actually there when Steins;Gate began airing (never played VNs beforehand) & Whitefox has been at it since then.

I devoured everything Shaft-related because that's what jived with me. But honestly Bleach was the real culprit that got me into all this, & looking at studio Pierrot makes me realized even back then they played a huge part (but mostly Bleach, GTO & english Ghost Stories). Same story with Sunrise.

My absolute favorite was Studio 4°C while it lasted. I've seen just about everything they did. I also liked Madhouse and Production I.G. As a kid I was really into the SHAFT style.

Pioneer ldc, was involved in more niche series like Texhnolyze, Serial Experiments Lain, Niea under 7, etc. And some more mainstream ones like the Tenchi muyo series. Ai Yori Aoshi, etc.

studio bones. simply because they are the only ones that regularly make original series and not just adaptations.

Not really having a particular favorite studio, I've always kinda be interested in Tatsunoko history.

Also after searching stuff a bit I now want to check about Shin-Ei Animation, they're the studio who produce Doraemon and Shin Chan stuff, and as a huge fan of Shin Chan movie 9 I'll try to dig a bit deeper into their productions. (Also, they have Warau Salesman, Attack Number 1, Kyojin No Hoshi and the excellent Oishinbo)

I'll go with Mad House as well, especially given their work on Record of Lodoss War (only the 1990 OVA, I believe).

It's a timeless classic for me. I'll never remove it from my SSD.

I don't really mind their names and who they are, what I hate is bad animations and drawings. Let's say like what they did with the third and fourth The Seven Deadly Sins' seasons.
