As far as the game goes it runs smooth and has good textures. But doesn't the ship look just a little like the Viper ship from battlestar galactica 1978?

I actually played the shit out of fast rmx when I first got my switch, I can't say anything about the quality of this game, but that one is actually extremely fun. Seeing this actually makes me want to go back to that game

I've been meaning to try Fast RMX for years. Eternally waiting for a decent sale price

The best Wipeout spiritual successor is BallisticNG. In fact I would go so far to say it's better than all the games in the series. I'm a pretty big fan of Wipeout and have played through every game in the series, but I'll concede that BallisticNG not only accomplished being a tribute but actually ended up being better than Wipeout. My favorite Wipeout is the European Special Edition version of Wipeout 3. You can grab BallisticNG + all DLC for free at gog-games.to and the Linux version can be found in the thread for it at cs.rin.ru. This game seems kinda like Wipeout but a shovelware version of it. Perhaps the sequels are way better

lol not a shovelware. That's why I normally add a little backstory to most posts.

This was Shin'en first game in the FAST series. Back in the Wii days, they only had 40mb to work with, which was Nintendo's arbitrary limit for these releases.

When you consider that and see that this is a full 3D racing game, with a campaign and multiplayer, you see why these guys were already talented back in the day.

They since made a lot of games in the series, like Fast RMX on Switch (port of Fast Racing NEO from WiiU) and Fast Fusion on the Switch 2, which was a launching title for the console.

Nice to see this thing. It ain't that outstanding like its sequel but for a cheap thing that weights 40 mb at the Wii shop back in that time, nothing better .::eggmanlaugh

My first and only "FAST" game, played it, beat it, never got a chance to check out its sequels.
Do check Neo/RMX if you can do it one day, it's very polished and "fast" indeed.

I actually tried this game, thinking it is an F-Zero or Wipeout clone, but it's controls are harder than I thought. It's so easy to crash.
