Well, I would not blame them. I have a strong tendency ot materializing the fantasy console I created myself. However, it's kind of hard since I have not yet finished developing it, so I need to wait for that a bit. :D
I don't know either. One day, I decided to write some emulator similar to the ZX Spectrum that did more things and the next day, a colleague of mine already classified me as "fantasy computer developer, here's the list of all other fantasy computers out there"..
I would 100% buy that. If you could load your own games onto the little discs and make your own labels. (Where's that damn meme at?)

I think not. Take any A4 sheet of paper and print it any way you want. Point any camera you want at it and write some script to read it. That will offer you the leverage of media. Efficient? Offcourse not. But definitely retro.
It just had that, "thing" about it. Sadly Digital media is taking over, Physical media is being picked-off one by one.
