Game Description:

Evil Twin: Cyprien's Chronicles is an Action-Adventure/Platformer 3D video game published by Ubisoft and developed by In Utero released on December 7th, 2001 for the PlayStation 2.

Evil Twin: Cyprien's Chronicles is a surrealistic 3D platformer from France. The player guides the orphan boy Cyprien through a darkly comical environment spanning 8 distinct islands and about 70 stages, in a mission to save his 4 friends, find his talking teddy bear, and confront his inner self.

Cyprien is helped and hindered through his quest by an assortment of strange beings, from an elephant named Wilbur, who makes his entrances and exits on a swing, a tribe of demis - creatures cut in half, a giant termite queen, a dark root, and many many more.

He is not helpless in his battle against the odds however. He has brought along to this strange dimension Super-Cyp, his heroic alter ego, into whom he may change temporarily using the power-ups scattered around the levels.

The PS2 version has superior controls compared to the Dreamcast port and has the extra German dub that is missing from the Dreamcast one.

GraphicsMuch sharper textures and superior lighting. It runs at a native 640x480 (480p).Blurry textures and simplified lighting. Runs at 512x448i, looking "muddier" on modern screens.
AtmosphereThe hardware handles the surreal, dark art style better, making the world feel more immersive.Loses some of the "dreamlike" fog and shadow effects.
ContentMissing two levels that were cut to meet the release deadline.Includes the full game with all intended levels.
PerformanceSlower load times and some audio bugs during cutscenes.Faster loading and more stable audio synchronization.
PriceExtremely rare and expensive (PAL exclusive).Much more common and affordable.
Sorry for my ignorance, I'm new here. I can't download the file.

This or the Dreamcast version?

This game deserves a remaster imo its really underrated for what it was trying to tell with its story.

If Tim Burton made a Legend of Zelda game

One of very few european imports I had for my Dreamcast. This game is the epitome of early 00s - down to how player has an even darker, angstier super-sayan form:)

Remember playing this on the Dreamcast.
Part of the Rayman 2 team worked on it from what I understand.
Was originally pitched as a CG movie (according to wikipedia.)

Didn't know this was on Ps2.
Picked up the Pc version cause I thought the cover looked badass.
It's ok, it plays like a janky Rayman 2.

Looks like a Alice in Wonderland (return of the maddness) prototype. Or how it would be if it was on PS2.

Or Chucky something?

Loved this game on Sega Dreamcast. Had no clue it was for the PS2. Thank you very much!
