I only did once when I was around 13 (while cheating like an angry bastard, because I had just discovered both GameShark and the fact that not every Pokemon was available to catch).

I was incredibly underwhelmed by the reward you got for in Yellow for it:

A stupid certificate!

And never bothered again.

You?

I was so closed to got it, but the phone where I had it (yes I played in emulator)
I gave it away (why, idk)

No. But I owned one of this, also known as Pokedex.

Wow! That was one toy we wanted but our parents would never get for us (yes, I'm still salty about it lol). What did it even do? I remember the ads doing a magnificent job out of not telling you XD

Nope, a friend complete the silver Pokedex and get sht so I never bother in complete it.

Not really.... But I did catch some Pokemon and seen through battles and trades. So complete Pokedex is optional for me.

I completed the Emerald and Fire Red ones doing a lot of shit in-game and messing with the emulator and saves for trading.

I think that I did it one time on a Pokemon Red Rom Hack called Pokemon Upgrade Red (In case Upgrade Blue.) I almost completed it but I lost the save and could not completed it.

I don't complete the Pokedex in the games because there is no way on earth, a mere mortal like me would do something that crazy.

Was it worth it? What did they give ya?
I think that only the certificate and a congratulations but feel really great since these 2 games were one of my first games i played (but never get all the trainer card stars for both games because for Fire Red was literally impossible to get one of the stars and Emerald have the Pokemon Contests that are really tedious to complete)

did it once in pokemon ruby when i was a kid
it was a nightmare to complete the pokedex

I think they give you a certificate and a berry in the gen 3 games.
Woaaah. That is such an insult after all the hard work you had to put in... Even a few Master Balls wouldn't quite cut it, but that? Pffft.

I don't think they ever gave anything worthwhile, anyway I only played up to XY so I have no idea about the games beyond generation 6.

just a certificate
i remember that i was so mad that i did not get a real reward that i almost decided to smash the game with a hammer
Right? Getting that stupid thing on Yellow was a massive disappoinment for me, especially because my save got corrupted right after.

This don't include spin-offs.

Nope, never done it in any of the Pokémon games I've played.

Gotta Catch 'Em All? More like Gotta Catch 'Em Until I'm Done With The Game

Thanks, @Archienine.

Looks like they eventually realized how much of a rip-off their reward system was for accomplishing the biggest in-universe task ever. Still not great, but better late than never, I guess.

I wonder how many actually printed their diplomas only to feel empty the moment another game got released and was the same thing

At least later gens did add the shiny charm. But for those who doesnt care for shiny hunt it was just as useless

I don't remember much, but I think it had a list of Pokemon names and stats and it always made this beep beep beep sound. I still own half of it (the other half is lost).
