Well, the devs of the hack have plenty more NES program tools and no time/budget restrictions.

This almost looks like the Sega Genesis version, I'm very amazed.

It would be great if someone fixed the Master System version, cause the Brazilian Master System Earth Worm Jim game is quite bad. Although the Game Gear version is okay but I do want a FM Sound version of Earth Worm Jim music. And I honesty I think despite the more limited color palette of the Master System that backgrounds could be made to be better and the extra screen space is nice.

The Sonic The Hedgehog hack from earlier this year was very impressive too, more technically impressive than any of the official 8bit titles.

I agree,the sound chips are so adavanced in this ROm Hack,which this NES Earthworm Jim ROm hack actually does sound like a Late 1994 NES Release or something on the quality level of a TIm Follin NES Soundchip game,almost near the quality of a Game Boy Color Soundchip game,a perfect good example are the GBC Versions of Gex: Enter the Gecko and Gex 3.
