When it asks for a disc just point it to disc.iso in the Disc folder.

Dusk is a reverse-engineered re-implementation of TP.

It aims to be as accurate as possible to the original while also providing new options, enhancements, and tools to customize your experience.

Maybe to have a more recognisable name? Not being confused with Dusk the indie Quake inspired FPS?

Or... Avoiding Nintendo's C&D?

Or you have a more recognizable name or you avoid Ninty's attention. You can't have both.

But if you guys are wondering if this is working properly: yes, it is.
I'm currently after the Goron Mines dungeon and it worked almost flawlessly. The only issue that I faced was the hot springs elevator inside the mines that was crashing the game, but so many people reported it in their git repo that they probably already fixed it by the time I'm writing this.

Also tested on Android 13 and it's working very well.

Hey Alma, They uploaded the project to 1.1.0 and its now called Dusklight for some reason. When you have some time, can you please update it accordingly? Thanks!!
The port just got updated again to a new version: 1.2.0!
Thanks for the heads up! I missed 1.1.0 due to being out but got the new one!

Thank you all for the kind words like always. It means a lot ::heart

I added a link to the HD stuff in the description and updated this with V1.1! Thank you both!

It seems this received a texture pack for anyone interested.

I couldn't get this to run on my crappy laptop though (so is the case with most modern recomps, especially those of the N64, but I already have this on Wii U).
It would be funny to apply a cel shading-like texture pack to make TP more like WW visually.

But I'd love to see a way to "N64-ify" Twilight Princess as well.

Amazing work.
If any of the people involved in this project are reading this:
Would it be possible to expand on the "minimal HUD" option by allowing the player to pick and choose which HUD elements to keep?

Other than that, I'm really excited to see which options are gonna be added in future updates.
I'd love to see an alpha and scaling option for the HUD as well as letting the Gamecube buttons without the "decoration" around it.

Or even an option to show a diamond-shaped button layout on it.

The Wii Remote, that's the reason for the removal of the free camera; the Wii version does not support the GameCube controller or the Classic Controller, only the Wii Remote with the Nunchuck.
You're right! At least Zelda games are still fairly playable without free cam.

I've installed the 4k pack and the title screen says the 4k on it, but it doesn't look 4k at all. I watched videos on it and mine looks nothing like it.
The textures added are decent, but yeah, Henriko does a LOT of bullshitting in those videos.

I wasn't aware that the Wii version removed free camera, is there a reason why?

Anyway it's interesting how despite the vastly different art style it still shares the Wind Waker engine (with some alterations).

Yep, same game. I've played all three versions of Twilight Princess (GameCube, Wii, and Wii U), and they're basically the same, using the same engine and assets.

The main differences between The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on GameCube (GC) and Wii are that the Wii version is mirrored, features motion controls, and lacks free camera control. The GameCube version is the original, non-mirrored experience (Link is left-handed) with traditional controller support.

Outside of the mirroring and motion control the Wii version of TP is fundamentally the same game with the same assets and same engine right?

Dusk at least on my desktop IS able to open and use a RVZ compressed image file, which is the best size optimization for a GameCube or Wii iso while retaining all data on the disc image, even the useless stuff but compressed.

It is also nice you linked the 4K textures. I can tell where they go at least in windows version of this. %appdata%/TwilightRealm/custom_textures/ - the GZ2 folder should be inside that folder.
just an fyi i took the contents of the gz2 folder and put them in texture replacements and it worked as well. so i guess it works with leaving the contents in the gz2 or taking the folders inside that and putting them in texture replacements
