Description

DON'T FORGET TO READ THE READ ME!

This is Dungeon Lords: Collectors Edition V1.5!

===> THIS IS NOT THE STEAM VERSION! <===

This is VERY different from the Steam version in terms of how it's core RPG system works like exp, skills, hotbars, etc. It's almost a new game with the same story because of it.

Having completely customization over my character rather then have the class I choose dictate what I get is a huge plus but that's just my preference and the way I prefer to play this game in general. You can also still do LAN play with someone with something like Radmin VPN too if you wish.

Included is the digital versions of the manual and map that it came with too!

Enjoy!

Most likely made by the same devs from Dungeon Siege. Every screenshot reminds me of DS1, which I've beaten like 20 times.

Don't know about the game, but this cover is sick.
Honestly a fantastic game imo. Its tricky but if you explore and keep mental notes, or even real notes, of stuff, you will have a ton of fun!

Okay, I've created a hex-edited version of the dlords.exe file that enables widescreen. Simple instructions: unzip and move my exe to replace the original exe. Open game and set your resolution to 1600x1200. My edit replaces this internally with 1280x720 which is widescreen without making the UI and font headache inducing. The only CON here is when you look at your character's "worn" inventory, the animated paperdoll is off alignment do to engine jank.

Here is my Google Drive link:

Note to CDR/RGT staff. Feel free to verify, use, incorporate. The file is clean, but I totally understand anyone for wanting to run it through a viruscan.
Thanks for this, I'll give it a try later tonight!

It reminds me of the golden age of action RPGs like Dungeon Siege. I might actually give it a try and finish it if it's not too long. The visuals are definitely nostalgic.

Original Released Version: The most barren, buggy and worst way to play it
Ahh... Well I'm glad I didn't pay much for it then. It's still a neat Tri-Fold Display Cover for its box. With an angry old man that you just know ponders his orbs for the very front.

I have this in its medium box with the same artwork sitting next to me, but it's not the Collector's edition. Is that the same thing as the one on Steam?
It sounds like the released version of the game.

There are 4 versions of the game out there:

Original Released Version: The most barren, buggy and worst way to play it
Collectors Edition (This one I uploaded): The most complete, fixed version of the game
MMXII: The version on steam but not the steam version. Changes the core RPG system
Steam Version: Steam version. Same as MMXII but adds network stuff and fixes things

If you have a released version of it, I would recommend this one that I uploaded. Its a much better version. Non the less, still a cool little box to have!

Still got my steelcase physical copy from EBGames for .98 cents, good times!

Thank you so much for this, I've been looking for this version for years, thank you. ::dkapproves

Surprise to see this game here!
It's one of the first games I played on my PC and I really enjoyed! 🤩

I put about 5 hours into this today over 2 sessions without an issue. My PC is old though, so maybe that's somehow a benefit in this scenario?
No it worked on my 10/11 perfectly too. It could just be a rare ungodly annoying bug that only a few people catch while playing this or maybe a resolution issue. I know for a fact you can't alt+tab outa this. It demands the full screen at all times lol.

Also what character are you running and how are you finding it?

What do you mean? I was able to start it fine on both my computers.

Maybe it's because I'm running the game through Wine/Proton, but are you not able to skip any of the videos?
It could be a Wine thing maybe. I hear Linux can cause weird side effects for windows games with Wine.

Yeah, JRPGs are great and everything, but these are the bread and butter of the RPG genre for me. Weird Eurojank and dodgy minor Western releases are my lifeblood. Thank you for preserving and improving these lost pieces of art! It means a lot to me.
You're welcome! When the Euro jank is good, it tends to be amazing. Also any game developed by D.W Bradley is pretty much gonna be a banger!

Just what I was looking for!!! Does this have xinput support on launch, I wanna test it out on the G Cloud/Gamehub.
I dont know, sorry x.x
Are you able to provide instruction on how to set the default resolution on this game? It keeps defaulting to the lowest resolution, and changing it in the settings does not allow it to change.
This game is super bitchy with resolution. It may be best to leave it as is.

I remember seeing this game with the steel case for cheap at Walmart back in the 2000's but never bought it despite being interested in it. 2005 sounds about right because I think I remember seeing it there around when the Xbox 360 launched.

Thank you. Seeing these PC games that I entirely forgot about or never heard of is a ton of fun.
