This is an unofficial port of the Don Bluth Interactive Movie Trilogy, Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair II - Time Warp, and Space Ace, to the Playstation 1 by Netyarouze. I wanted to create Eboots of these but then I remembered the original Dragon's Lair was released on the PSP in 2011, though it appears to be unavailable in the repro so perhaps I can share it here later. Official gitbub page: https://github.com/netyarouze/ Special thanks to OldGamers for sharing these.

Kills dragons lair 2 on Amiga. I got dragons lair and space ace on 3do which are decent bit these look a little better. Dirksimple dragons lair looks good but doesn't start at the beginning, at least this one plays right.

nes/snes was how they where because of hardware limitations & the dragon's lair 3d is for me a remake
I think they made the NES/SNES versions like this because they wanted to do something different, I don't buy the argument about hardware limitations, the GBC version was a faithful port of the arcade.

I also count these as two games, but the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and PS2/Gamecube games are completely different, that's five different games in the franchise.

releases on different platforms that are not the original release i count as 1 so the 31 releases are 1
dl2 all the 13 releases are 1

Depends on what you mean, by definition I know of five different Dragon's Lair games (there maybe more) the first arcade game, the sequel Time Warp, the Nintendo 2D platformer, the Super Nintendo 2D platformer, and the 3D platformer on PS2 and Gamecube.

But this here is more so Don Bluth's laser disc Trilogy, Dragon's Lair, Dragon's Lair 2 Time Warp, and Space Ace which is technically not a Dragon's Lair game but more so a spiritual follow up.

you can say it is the laserdisc don bluth trilogy

Is there a video playthrough of this version? I want to compare it to the current Steam versions I have and see if it's better.

are there not only 2 dragon's lair video games

I played the arcade version on Laser Disc and it was spectacular.
I'm curious to try these three titles.
Thank you very much!

I remember buying the Playstation 1 getting a Sears Credit Card; thinking or hoping that Dragon's Lair would be available for the system. We never got it. I recall having Dragon's Lair and Space Ace on the 3DO that I purchased from Funcoland before the PS1 came out. I'll have to try this out for giggles; as I already have Dragon's Lair Trilogy on Nintendo Switch, Playstation 3, Raspberry Pi, and PS2/DVD. Anyone remember playing Braindead 13?

OMG, I am so here for these, as I'm an old school laserdisc whore, and I say that proudly LOL Seriously, I love all things this genre and the PSP version of Dragon's Lair is one of my favorites across all platforms(I hope these match up). Sadly the PSP never got Space Ace or DL2, so hopefully these make up for that criminal behavior.
I'll tell you what; you and me as kids back in the day...seeing Dragon's Lair in the arcades sitting next to the usual Pac-man and Donkey Kong was just magical. A cartoon as an arcade game?! My 5-6 year old brain was blown

While it's a homebrew and a pretty good one, the controls can be a bit stiff at times.

I got decent up-scaling on an anime before, and i could clean up some video footage so possibly recoding might be an option to get it 720 or 480p; Though I'm not sure i could get it to 1080 since after 2x unless it upscales right, it looks more and more like a blurry painting. But upscaling something already HD tends to just fix edges, and helps for printing.

Still nice to see all three in one rom.
Nah, it's three Roms, one for each game, similar to the official PS1 release of Time Gal and Ninja Hayate.

edit: Nevermind, there's very high footage available, just a matter of encoding...

i think they are the screenshots makes it looks like that
The screenshots are from the 3do version, I didn't find ones for the ps1 version, they look slightly better quality though and you do get button prompt as well as difficulty option, rumble support, and unlimited continues.

Didn't remember this one... 😝 Are these arcade based? I mean, there are "modern" versions that tell you what arrow you need to press...

if is called dragon lair's trilogy why didnt they added the third game with space ace as an extra? i really dont get it.
It's included, all three games.
