Doraemon was one of the big ones here in LA too. Even more when local channels run some episodes in the "Animated Mornings" and "Afternoon Cartoons" everyday with the likes of Mazinger Z, Speed Racer, Hamtaro, Sakura Card Captor, Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball

Then Fox Kids made it even better with their runs with Digimon, Medabots and Shin-chan. So it was well know

God, i miss those golden days where anime was normal to see on cable. Now days i can only see it on local channels since i lack internet to watch episodes on the officials channels on youtube

Doraemon never really took off here in the States, unfortunately. With that said, I do remember coming home from school and watching the English dub of the 2005 series.
That's interesting to hear, cuz I remember many similar shows doing well there.

u would be suprised how much of a thing him and many other animes like grandizer, treasure island ,detective conan, captain tsubasa and many others are big here in the middle east and have been since the 70s and 80s
I'm aware that Doraemon is very popular in Latin American countries and the Middle East. I just feel like it could have been just as popular in English speaking countries if it was handled better.

It's mostly shounen anime, Pokemon and other heavy-hitters like them. You name a more niche anime and chances are that nobody here even knows what you're talking about.

Funny you should mention that. Doraemon was an odd subject of national debate for parents in my country. Since it wasn't dubbed in english, parents argued that it would stop their kids from speaking in their mother tongue or learn english. although doraemon got a local dub years later after the fact.
Personally, i'm not as nostalgic of doraemon than I am of Crayon Shin-Chan or Ninja Hattori.

They used to air it in a open signal channel named Canal 5, watched both the classic version and the 2005 followup

Absolutely loved it, Doraemon and Nobita's friendship, when you ignore how much trouble Nobita causes him, was hella sweet, i knew it was time to go to the kindergarden when the end credits rolled

I know this anime because I was on YouTube looking for anime to watch when I was a kid, I found it dubbed in Spanish and I really liked it.

I also agree, they have such a beautiful friendship. Have you seen the movies?

I remember the Dinosaur one, for what i heard the movies can get real serious, which considering how Doraemon looks, it's either scarier or amusing

Sorry to bother you, but I can tell you a curious fact about myself: I discovered an old version of an anime when I was on YouTube as a child, looking for cartoons to watch, and I found it. The Spanish version, and I liked it so much even though I didn't understand a single word, but I managed to understand it because it's similar to Portuguese, and I liked it so much. Sorry to bother you, I just wanted to share that fact.

That and the Anywhere door are the show's TARDIS and Sonic Screwdriver
My favorite item is that bread that you eat when you know all the answers on Mathematics

Hi, it's been a while since I last spoke to you. I hope you're doing well; I was feeling terrible.
Hey! I'm doing well! And it has been a while but why do you feel terrible?

Olá! Estou bem! Já faz um tempo, mas por que você está se sentindo tão mal?
I don't know, I'm on level 6, which allows you to see it.Sometimes I'm very happy, other times I'm not. I won't go into details because of the rules.

Okay, that's fine.

Eu também senti sua falta!
The good news is that I'm in good health, I'm at level 6, and I've also been playing a few different games.I was playing a bit of the Persona 3 demo on PS4.I stopped trying to please others.

Great!

I'm planning to learn 3D modeling or 2D animation to make my own Pokémon animations.Creating an OC (Original Character): I already have the name, which is my character that I use in the digital world; I'm going to create it.
