Persona 2: Eternal Punishment is my favorite game in the series because it’s the only one that I really connected with on a personal level; not even Persona 3 and its themes resonated with me that much (it must be because I played Final Fantasy IX first, and it has similar themes about life and death, and I connected and resonated more personally with Vivi in FFIX than with any character in Persona 3).
I still like the other casts (Except for Persona 4 and 5, I don't like those games and their characters), but Eternal Punishment's group is honestly my personal favorite. They're very unique and well-written. If they released another game with a similar cast (it doesn't even have to be a Persona game) I'd probably be more excited for that than for another high school setting. Catherine's cast was close, but it's not an RPG so the character interactions are very different.
Does anyone else relate to any of this? Personally I feel like all of them are relatable in some way. As a kid, you look forward to becoming an adult, but then you're there and you don't feel any different. Except now you've got new problems that you never had to deal with before.
Sorry if this post is a little silly or something, Idk I'm just a stupid idiot. (╥ ω ╥)
