I feel that this is somewhat discouraged these days, almost like a dying art.
I loved being able to tell exactly who's phone was ringing just by identifying the songs that came blasting out of the speakers whenever someone called, but it seems that everyone's just using the default beeps and boops or the non-musical, built-in jingles these days.
I liked my edgy songs (and crappy renditions of, because phone had like 1 megabyte of memory XD), but yeah... not listening to a lot of those when phones ring at work or through gatherings these days... Hell, most just buzz instead.
So, which is it? Are you a "Revolution X"-like rebel and still rock your favorite jams in the face of a grey world or do you prefer to go the "silent" route and not call attention to yourself by having your phone "merge" into the unified sound wave? Both are fine, honestly.
