Do you still have your first console?
Exactly the same one.

Or you lost it or something?

This is my first console ever, and remains operational.

Sadly, my first videogame computer (Amstrad cpc), disapear so many years ago from my parten's house

First two were a front loading NES and Model 1 SNES (I had them both picked at the same time). Unfortunately, they're long gone due to an incident c. 2008. Games I had for them were gone, as well.

Part of my return to game collecting a few years later was spurred by that, and it slowly evolved into what I have now.

If the PolyStation doesn't count, I think it was the Amiga, with a bunch of cool games. Or maybe the Atari that was once my uncle's. Anyway no, I don't have them anymore.

nope, mine was a SNES, my brother and I sold it for a N64 and later sold the N64 for a PSOne. I didn't know at that time how precious a original SNES was. I had Banger games like: Killer Instinct, Terranigma, Goof Troop, Tetris 2, Fifa 97 (which was actually good, despite my Fifa hate), Yoshis Island, Stunt Race FX, Biker Mice from Mars

My dad's 2600 became mine at some point, but it went to live at my grandparents' house so we had something to when we spent the night. They later sold it at a yard sale and I didn't know anything about it. The first "for me" thing was a Commodore 64 that I had until probably 93 and then it stopped working.

The very first "console" I had was one of those old learning laptops for kids. Well, actually two, but I only ever really used one. I also got hold of a couple of Game Boys, I played with those too. This was 2008ish and my dad worked at the recycling center, which means I got all the cool stuff from 10 years ago people just threw away. Also the reason why I had truck loads of Legos.

I don't have any those things anymore. However, the first new console I got was the Nintendo DSi. My parents gave it to me for Christmas and I have treasured it ever since. Not a single scratch on the thing. But the right shoulder button stopped working and I lost the pen, as one does. I don't use it anymore, it held out for too long and I can't imagine trashing it now after all this time.

My dad and I also got a PS2 from the supermarket. Never really played much with it because we only had one TV and as it was already a generation old I was not really exposed to many games for it. Nevertheless, I still use it today, mainly as a DVD player.

Yep. :)
As a matter of fact, I still have ALL of the consoles I've ever owned. Including all of the games I've ever bought.
From my GameBoy Colour (which I saved my pocket money for, I got it dirt cheap too), all the way to my PS4 (which was a birthday present). Boxes, manuals, and all. Needless to say, I'm a bit of a hoarder... but at least I can go around calling it a collection nowadays. :D

Surprisingly, it's my newer consoles that are falling apart, while my old ones are in perfect working condition. Go figure.
Which is the reverse of the controllers by the way. Modern controllers seem to last forever, while the controllers from back in the day, would last all of two seconds. And it can't be because of me, because like I said, all of my handhelds are in perfect working condition (well except for my 2DS, because the power button broke, but that's Nintendo getting cheap with parts).

( Although the first "gaming device" I played on, was my dad's Amiga. He unfortunately threw that away because it broke. So I don't have that. :( )

The first console I owned exclusively was a white DS Lite, but it was sold to buy a DSi, then a 3DS, etc. The first one my family had, however, was a PS1 my father bought around launch but only I ever used it. My mom decided to give it away once we had a PS2, so since I couldn't keep the entire console itself I hid the controller that came with it and I still have it to this day. I had a strong emotional attachment to the console, and when I later learned my cousin (who got it from my mom) had spilled juice in it, I almost cried. So yeah, the controller I still have is very important to me.

First console... i bought a SNES back in...1997? Dad thought i was playing too much and hid it in the attic.

Alas no. That kinda got left behind after i moved (divorced) and there was a bunch of stuff i ended up not taking. Music books, console and games, Violin i bought but never played, etc etc.

I also kinda miss my first laptop/computer. We're talking Yamaha brand, ~1993, 4Mb, 80Mb hard drive, 386DX 33Mhz? (I remember it played DooM VERY slowly unless it was minimum resolution), max resolution of 800x600x8 (and higher resolutions it would hardware scroll the screen you were pointing at), and windows 3.1. Not strong enough to run Windows 95... And good ol' 3 1/2" floppy disks...

My NES is long gone. My mom only let me have one console at a time so I had to sell the NES when I got a Genesis. I had to sell the Genesis as well when I got a PS1, but now I have another Genesis at least.

Yeah, no.

I find it incomprehensible how anyone could still have something they first got as a child some forty years ago. I cannot remember at all what happened to my C64, but I couldn't have had it for more than a couple of years, before I got a NES and sold the Commodore at a yard sale. A while later, the same thing happened when I got a SNES. And again with the PSX...and with the PS2...and so on...

Same thing with my PC. I mean, ye olde IBM 5160 with its 8086 CPU and monochrome text-only display wouldn't be all that fun to use these days.

Yeah. I'm that old. And, yeah. I still play video games. Makin' my dad proud. XD

Still have our old family GameCube with the Donkey konga bongos I don't use it a lot but is still there in a box.

I had a DS Lite but I gave it away for someone (Don't remember who now) and later in life I got a 3DS and yada yada yada, you know the drill.
Now that I think about it, I never sold any of my older consoles, I always gave them away to people I know and wanted them. My mother was always the charity kind of person so she always convinced me to give it away to either someone in the family or the kid of one of her friends, some times it was worth it to see the person happy, and others times I find out they barely touched the console...
