I didn’t start nicknaming Pokémon until gen 6. Some of them were kinda dumb though lol

I do. First game was Pokemon Blue, first ever starter was a Bulbasaur named Zakura, named after a type of cherry. Ever since, any Pokemon game I play - always a grass starter named Zakura.

To this day, Bulbasaur is still one of my most favorite. Love this little dude.

I sometimes nickname pokemon. I think I put some of my favorite cartoon characters as names.

I can't remember cause my first version was yellow, I think my Totodile in crystal was Kroc or something like that

Sadly i tended to not put nicknames to my pokemon when i was a kid but i remember the first time i put a nickname to a pokemon was for an Eevee and then Jolteon that i called just "Thunders" because of the japanese name of Jolteon. It was funny sounding to me when i was watching Pokemon Origins. Then i started nicknaming all my started "Meper" because of my cat :3

My first Pokemon was Blue. I think my Charmander was named Ares. I'm fairly certain. That was also the name I always used for the gold chocobo in FF7. I was a big Xena fan.

When I was a kid, I nicknamed my starters by adding "Junior" to the end of my real name.

My name's not John, but if we assumed it was, then I would've nicknamed my starter John Jr.

I believe at some point I put the Jr. In front of my name, so it was also Jr.John at some point in time, too.
