Genuinely, what does the London System opening bring to the world?
Boredom?
Enragement?
This opening is so bad it's why the UK is banning Phones; so children don't get exposed to that atrocious opening.
And don't even bother talking about the English opening.
I bet the English saw the Sicilian Defense, and wanted to steal that, just like all the artifacts in the British museum...
...And they already stole 2 openings, the Sicilian Defense as i said, and the Bishop's Opening, that is just the London, but on the kingside.
On the flip side, we have the Scotch Game.
Why would you play a HORRIBLE, no life, robotic opening, that the London System is, if you have the Scotch?
It's easy, more fun, doesn't make your opponent resign out of pure boredom, AND fights for the center on the 3rd move...
I'm not hating on people that play that, but, y'know, how about you move your c-pawn 2 squares forward on the next move after 1. d4, and try the Queen's Gambit?
Even better, just give up 1. d4, or 1. c4, and try 1. e4...
...Or maybe, just maybe, are the English afraid of pushing the same pawn as the Scottish and lose ANOTHER war..?
Peace Out - Daniel.
