SCD Disc Juggler/IMGburn settings to properly burn Sega CD games?

Hey guys

I've been trying to burn the .cue/.bin files from snatcher to a CD-R and havent had much luck getting it to play on my Model 2 Sega CD.

I just successfully burned most of my Dreamcast games using disc juggler with the recommended settings I found online, but havent had the same luck finding the proper settings for Sega CD. I found a lot of forum answers that essentially just say "use imgburn or disc juggler and burn it" but since i'm pretty new to burning discs im not sure what optimal configurations/burn speeds are for these games.. I did see someone suggest disable "overburn disc" and burn at the lowest speed possible.

I feel like I should fully rule out if there's something I'm doing wrong in the burn process before saying that my lazer is stuggling to read games/failing.

Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated!

It's been over a decade but I did burn Snatcher to play on my Mega CD 2 using imgburn. Slowest speeds, and with a good quality disc.
This was before the CDR site, I got the game from a French site, which is still online!
I've been quite dependant on discs made by Taiyo Yuden. Easily spotted by their light blue design.

I author all my Sega CD games with ImgBurn, with great success. I also find that my Sega CD Model 2 is very, very tolerant of CD-R media, and will play games on both cheap and expensive discs with no problems.

As others have said, I use ImgBurn, set the burn speed to the lowest possible setting, and let it do its thing. Leave everything else to the default settings. It's a simple, almost automatic process.

When using ImgBurn, make sure you select the .cue file for burning! If your .bin and .cue are in the same folder or location, the .cue file will automatically "cue up" the files from the .bin in the proper order. Make sure you are not simply trying to burn the .bin, alone!

For the best compatibility across all of your consoles and computers, always use the best blank media you can afford. Nowadays, I find that Maxell is good go-to budget brand. They have a "MaxData" brand of discs that can be had for around $20 for a 50-pack. They are thicker and of much better quality than the standard Verbatim discs you find at most retail stores.

Thanks for the replies! this was very helpful and answered other questions I had but forgot to mention like the .cue/.bin thing.. I'll try ImgBurn when I get home
