I understood the meaning of American and European covers, but nothing from the Japanese one (if anyone wants to help...)
So, was it the laziest cover?I see them adding "Horror Adventure" there as an admission of defeat, but I think it's a neat cover — it immediately tells you that it's gonna be a bloody affair, and blood stains on hospital walls are always an easy sale for me.

Maybe. So, was it the laziest cover?![]()

A lot of Japanese PS1 games just put the genre on the cover, it's pretty normal. Especially Konami ones.I see them adding "Horror Adventure" there as an admission of defeat, but I think it's a neat cover — it immediately tells you that it's gonna be a bloody affair, and blood stains on hospital walls are always an easy sale for me.

But did they do that solely for aesthetic reasons? These ink stains are the name of the game; if you look closely, you can see the "E N T" from Silent Hill.

Wow, they just made things worsejust saw that they changed it for the re-release. kind of interesting.
